To put the playoff piece into perspective, in '99 the Spurs won 12 playoff games in a row. In that year they beat (in order) the T-Wolves, Lakers, Trailblazers and then won the first 2 against the Knicks only to lose one and win the final 2. Now that was a great playoff run which I don't see being matched again this year.
Yes. They knew they would win the lottery and end up with Duncan, even without the worst record. They are freakin geniuses.
So we should all switch to rooting for the spurs? They are division rivals . Do Cowboys fans root for the redskins or giants? Do Yankees fans root for the red sox or vice versa? This dude just pops up every time and has to sing a same old song about how the Spurs are a better organization than the Rockets. Reality or not they are my teams division rivals and I will never be able to root for them to do well.
Why is going 8-0 in the playoffs that impressive anyways Cavs did it with Lebron and then lost to Magic in 2009 Orlando did it in 2010 and then lost to the Celtics
unless bosh comes back, both teams in the wc finals could sweep the finals. That being said, i cant see SA or OKC sweeping eachother.
I don't give a rats ass who anyone roots for. It's not like it's going to make a difference. If you don't want to watch it, turn on the bachelorette or the big bang theory. I'm not going to diss a Rockets fan for just watching basketball, it's not his fault the Rockets are not there.
Just as the Rockets were freaking geniuses when one year after after getting Ralph Sampson, they knew they'd win the lottery and get Hakeem.
This thread is so pathetic.. people saying the spurs 22+ wouldn't count because it's in the playoffs and different reasons? Wow what homers we are in Houston.. meanwhile everyone outside of Houston is looking at how amazing SA is doing with their dynasty while we revel in an old 22 game win streak that everyone forgot about since we never built on that success. And yes it's true I don't hate the spurs.. but I feel like we should. But to me being a division rival in NBA doesn't mean much because divisions are't that important like they are in the NFL. When the Rockets were ballin, I HATED the spurs. Now I honestly don't care.
