So Durant, WB, Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, Lebron, Wade, KG, Pierce, Rondo aren't wily or talented players like Kobe and are only all athleticism? Trying too hard to make a point brah
Kobe is out of his prime and there are still plenty of individual stars still left in the playoffs. OKC has three alone. All that said I could care less if a team doesn't have superstars and wins it all. They're still the better team. I prefer the NBA over college or high school or the Y, but it's because it's the highest level of hoops. Could care less if a balanced team or a team with a superstar wins though.
This is the best playoff ever without the Lakers. Durant is exciting, the Heat are exciting, Spurs have some good players to watch. Its very interesting for once.
If you're such a fan of superstar ball, go to the internet and watch Shaq-Lakers reruns. Go hang out with PJax and talk about building a superstar team that will be your frontrunner every year. Then blow each other. These are the pro leagues, where teams are made champions and individual talent can only be an MVP, which is a distant second. Kobe is doing a great jump of proving that you can study the game and take all the vitamins you want, but your team still loses if it isn't a good team. It's not Kobe we come to see. It's winning that can inspire beyond the physical realm. FIXED. RETURN TO SENDER.
Parker and Durant are the only suave ones on that list. Rest are just an embarrassment to hard nosed Rucker park + elegant swan hybrid players like Kobe. Don't even mention Rondo in a thread with Tim Hardaway in it, a guard with no jumper has no street cred. Pierce is fat. KG is r****ded. Ginobili and Duncan are awkward. Wade is on HGH and slow. Westbrook is just a freak of nature as is LeBron. But I'm a basketball man. I'm all about loving the game. And loving Kobe, means you love the game.
If the Lakers kick Kobe's last few good years to the curb so they can build around Bynum, an absolute skill less scrub, I will boycott the league. Because Chris Paul should have been in LA this season. Kobe shouldn't have to be around Pau types longer than he has to. Luc Longley had more heart.
That's where you're wrong. It's not Jordan Farmer hitting open jumpers I come to see. It's not Westbrook outrunning entire teams I come to see. It's not Tim Duncan hitting bank shots and making "heady" plays I come to see. I come to see a guy, who is wily like the fox. Who is all encompassing like the air. Who is versatile, like the weather. Who shines bright, like the moon. Who is smooth, like velvet. Who represents the immortal and fights hard for that right. Through with this thread. League is useless.
