I don't look at TDK as a comic book movie really.. It's more like a crime noir/gangster movie or heck you can even call it the Joker movie, Heth made that movie... That new trailer makes TDKR even more intense very Scorcese like, I seriously can't wait.. Just don't go thinking it's a comic book movie...
That sounds like what Nolan has been going for in the Dark Knight trilogy. He isn't making movies about super-powered beings destroying things and each other with their superpowers but about ordinary people pushed into extraordinary situations. It's almost the opposite of the Avengers where character development is important it is really about how the super heroes use their powers in battle in the Batman movies the battles are a vehicle to considering the larger issues of psychology and morality that Nolan deals with. That is made explicitly clear in the Joker's speech to Harvey Dent at the hospital. He's not interested in power, money or even violence but just wants to see what happens to people when the world as they knew it is changed in ways they can't control.
This is why I prefer Marvel villains. They usually have a pretty good reason for being evil. You can even sympathize with their plights. Guys like the Joker and Lex Luthor -- they seem to just become deranged.
Umm, they just re-used the Batman picture from the last film and slapped it onto there. That's pretty lame.
Yea with the first teaser poster they released months ago. I was expecting more Bane or Catwoman in the next poster.
I like it better than Bane walking away from a crushed, er, Bat-helmet and "The Legend Ends". Still, anything about this movie is likely to get me stoked.
didn't expect the pic to be that big also the clutchfans part is slightly below the middle of the pic
