Didn't do a good enough job for Daryl? Daryl running him out of town too? :p Or is it Tad Brown's fault?

What we need is a new owner willing to spend some money to make some money. OMG if we have to go over the salary cap.

There's no point in wasting cap room for the sake of spending it. We don't want to end up like Detroit with copious amounts of money tied up on underperforming and aging role players.

    • 8-12 plus years (CHECK) with a demonstrated track record of success. Preferred professional experience in project based strategic roles, such as strategy/management consulting or project based marketing (well, you said 'preferred', right?)
    • MBA from a leading school a plus;(CHECK) CPA a plus(I can probably knock that out pretty quick if I needed to)
    • Proven ability to manage discrete, time sensitive projects through to completion and maintain a high level of comfort multi-tasking or working with potential ambiguity (proven?)
    • Strong analytical planning forecasting and budgeting/financial skills, (All over that, about a decade of FP&A) including a high degree of comfort with multi-variable regression modeling and other advanced analytics (I took a class once...)
    • Excellent communication, persuasion and negotiation skills (persuaded yet?)
    • Must possess a strong marketing and customer service understanding and orientation (we won’t test you but it must be in your DNA)(no test, huh? Yeah, that's totally me, to my bones)
    • Respectful and outstanding leadership skills that motivates staff to exceed expectations(Umm, that's totally me too)
    • The ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team and focuses their energy on achieving business goals(you buying it yet?)

Sat by him at games quite a bit when I went with a friend who has season tickets. Good guy. I'm sorry I won't be seeing him at Toyota Center anymore.

They should make the dance coach the CSO and the CSO the dance coach. Man, that'd be fun to watch.

same, wtf, if I had known earlier about this I would have applied. Now it's way too late plus I am almost sure that they have already interviewed everybody and applications now won't mean anything.

Maybe this fall I can get it.

You won't get to go any games during the summer anyway.

This guy invented Guitar Hero, pretty sure none of the other candidates can hold a candle to that.

Under his guidance, the Rockets will surely be led back into the promised land!

Do you think Les would take a shot at one of the Van Gundy brothers, very good basketball minds as far coaching goes, could assist in the overall function of the organization.
