You scored 29 points in the 2nd quarter, which is more than the first quarter. And to score 54 points in a half v. the Heat defense is a huge accomplishment in itself.
VERY disappointed that the Pacers were out-physicalled by a team that is, for good reason, called SOFT. 47-38 deficit on the boards. 14-8 on the offensive glass. hoisting 22 threes, many of them early in the shot clock and contested. yuck, yuck, yuck
and gave up 28, 18 of them in the paint on layups, dunks, and tip-ins. that doesn't come close to "great" when every victory you have lately is due to defense
Look bro, I'm going to chill out here now, but my posts in the NBA dish started out as being rational basketball posts last year about how great I thought the heat were going to be. I didn't care that they had no role players. My theory in the NBA is that you must have superstars to win and if you have 3, then there is no way you can lose. Everyone flamed the **** out of me for liking Lebron, even after the decision, so then I turned crazy troll on everyone because I was so outnumbered. It was the only way to get my point across. I'm going to chill out here now, because there is nothing left for me to convince you guys of. Lebron is doing all the talking for me ON THE COURT. His performance today was historic. There is nothing else left for me to say.
You definitely don't have any supporters. Dating back to last year, the only time you ever post is in Lebron/Heat threads doing nothing but bashing Lebron and the Heat.

I watched the game and knew that after the 9-0 burst to start the game - when Indiana began getting trigger happy from downtown - they missed the golden opportunity to demoralize the Heat. Play a few solid offensive possessions instead of hoisting those 3s - maybe have a 15-0 run to start the game instead of 9. Personally - I felt Indiana lost the game right there... funnily enough they were up 9-0 on the scoreboard.
I've been very critical of Lebron...but he was amazing yesterday. It was a huge gut check for that team, and they responded big time. Credit where credit is due.

In the 2 W's, LeBron has 33 rebounds. In the 2 L's, LeBron has 16 rebounds. They need him to do everything.
Hibbert and West both having C games killed them. That was where the Pacers needed to keep constant pressure on the Heat - extend LeBron at the 4, work over Battier, Anthony, Haslem, Turiaf down low. Hibbert and West combined for 15 boards and 18 points, and the Pacers start scrambling with a streaky perimeter-oriented offense instead of a stable inside-out strategy. They can't do that and win. West-Hibbert combined Game 2 W: 24 and 21, 50-40 advantage in rebounds Game 3 W: 33 and 27, 52-36 advantage in rebounds Game 4 L: 18 and 15, 38-47 advantage to Miami I'm not going to say it's all on Hibbert, but he simply can not lay eggs in this series without Bosh around.
Pacers offense was fine, their defense was not. Not to say that offensive strategy didn't hurt their defense, but far to often they gave up easy layups/dunks, albeit thanks to great passing by the Heat.
Here we have a man who's willing to give credit where credit is due. Would like to see the rest of you do the same.
Neither was fine in the second half, especially in the third quarter (30-16). They were aimless on both ends and played with less energy than the Heat. Miami came out focused and determined and carved them up.
Lebron is by far the most talented player in the game today. When he is focused and confident, he is not stoppable. I have never made a single post on this forum or any other that said that he wasn't. If he goes 40-18-9 the next two games and gets the type of help he got from Wade and Haslem yesterday, then the Heat win in 6. That is, if he has historically great, all-time games (which he is capable of) then the Heat will not lose, provided he has some help. That is an awful lot do ask him to do, regularly, don't you think? An irritating side point not yet raised: If LBJ or Wade is going to be on the floor every single minute of the game, it is idiocy for Vogel to go with his normal bench rotations wherein ZERO starters are on the floor for a great many minutes, even when the staters are NOT in foul trouble. Time to tighten up the @#$@# rotation. It's the playoffs. Rest in the offseason! Barbosa /Hansbrough / Amundson provide energy for a play or two, but in 5 minute stretches with no real defenders or offensive threats on the court, THEY GET KILLED. /rant off
