Good cause most "Rockets Fans" thought battier was 10x better than what he truly was. Homers.

Glad we all Battier trash now. It only took this long for most Rockets fans to figure it out.

How was he overrated here? Did anyone say he was a superstar / all-star / star / anything but a solid basketball player?

We didn't expect Shane to be the third option after Yao and McGrady.

That last line really irks me; Shane's game isn't about the box score.

If offense is all you care about (and from this post, it seems true), then go watch Carmelo Anthony play.

Can you, for once, stop being a troll? Is just your nature to act like a jerk and call people out instead of discussing the game?

Whenever there is a good discussion, we can count on you to dumb it down with name-calling, begging people to throw it back at you.

Battier wasn't "trash" with the Rockets. However, Rockets needed him to be a good player on both ends. He wasn't; he was an average to borderline above average player.

    This.

There are some people that shouldn't even bother posting, because it seems as though they want to lure someone into arguing with them, per their post.

    You know who you are.

For what we gave up to get him he was trash. It was probably one of Morey's worst moves in that context. It might have been one reason the Rockets could not make it any further each year when one of the big two of Yao and Tmac went down. All we had was Battier and scrubs when one of them went down. As you see Miami has trouble when they just Wade and Lebron.

When they run the pick for him to get a position deep in the post, near or in the paint, it's over. And yes, they do need that more often, and less of him bringing the ball up.

How is "Suck it bandwagon Pacer fans," simply supporting the Heat?

It's the NBA playoffs, and the Rockets aren't playing. Why can't fans root for one team over the other? You're rooting for the Heat. Can other people not root for the Pacers, before you tell them to "suck it?"

Why would anyone give you anything for predicting a Superstar who is favored to win by all of us with the big 3 healthy to do just that?

Yeah, but everyone here is hating on Battier. The problem, as you listed, was with the trade, and not Battier himself. Battier had nothing to do with being traded here.

He was overrated. He was traded for the no8 pick. Bruce Bowen was undrafted.

    I do - not once.

People jump on you for being an antagonistic, bratty little boy that posts like a brainless prick.

If you would drop the attitude & name-calling and stop going out of your way to inflame others, a lot less people would aim and fire. You've made yourself into a walking gas can. tmac_1 slobbers over LeBron and the Heat just as much as you, but he actually wants to debate facts. Take a page.

Yeah, you called, Heat in 4 you said. Then you said Heat in 5.

Made fun of a few people like me who said it would be a close series lasting at least 6 games, with the Pacers "in" every game.

No one, including you, was ever attacked for "supporting the Heat." You were challenged by people quoting your own words, saying it was a guaranteed rout, time again again as you were proven WRONG.

Wish we had that Granger guy a couple of years ago. Its over now. Wont be getting Granger, Bosh, Howard, or Carmelo. So hopefully Morey drafts better than Marcus Morris next time.
