There is no doubt that the supporting cast has produced way below expectations.

Add to that the Bosh injury, and its pretty obvious why Miami is vulnerable.

The thing you have to do is pretend your Riley and ask yourself these questions:

    1) Would we have been ok if Bosh hadnt got hurt?
    Answer: Probably

    2) Is the supporting cast this bad, or is there another reason for their low productivity?

Answer: They are not as good as I hoped, but I dont think the coach is getting the most out of them either. Maybe they are this bad. Ummmm

    3) How much bearing does the coach have on all this?
    Answer: More than I feared

    4) What things can I change and which ones cant I?
Answer: I really cant tinker with the big three this early. At least not yet. I wouldnt survive the backlash if I did it now. Perhaps later though.....
Someone has to take the dive for this. Sorry Coach.
Lets see what affect the off season and a new coach has on my scrubs. I will re-evaluate when we approach the trade deadline.

LBJ and Wade had become so accustomed to drawing fouls even when there are none that I truly believe that he has been flummoxed by the lack of whistles on their flops.

For this, Vogel's big fine was well worth it.

Fair officiating has been a bigger factor than Bosh's absence.

    Wee bit premature ehh?

They just needed Wade to stop playing like a b****. Bosh who? Miami still in good shape. 2-2 back to Miami, looking pretty good huh?

"Fire Spoelstra, trade Wade or Bosh!, etc"

    Hah.

    No one is going anywhere.

Um, several factors went into Miami beating Indy today.
    - James and Wade had to go god mode
    - Haslem was actually a factor
    - Indy's bigs (West and Hibbert) didn't do crap the whole game

On top of all that, Indiana only lost by 8.

But hey, if the duo can do this again, 6 games in a row to beat Indy and sweep the Celts/76ers, more power to them.

But at some point, their bodies will be gassed.

So yes, I believe the absence of Bosh still produces a glaring weakness in Miami's game.

God mode? These are 2 great players. You got the Chosen One, the MVP, best player in the league, so on and so forth and another top 15-20 player. Now we're asking too much of them to go out and perform? What?

Fine, go get those guys more help.

They got 3 superstars. 3 more stars than most other teams. 2 more than most other teams. If Wade and James perform at the level they're capable of, Heat will be fine.

Yeah, god mode. LeBron and Wade won't get 40/18/9 and 30 again, this series. At least, not in the same game.

What are you talking about? They performed well today, but to ask them to average what they did in this game, over the next however many games until they win the NBA Finals is absurd.

And seriously? Chosen One? Goodness, get off his jock.

He is "The Chosen One" isn't he? Am I wrong about that?

I don't expect them to average 40. But either can go off at any time and both are top 20 players.

Again, if Wade and LeBron play at the level they're capable of, they'll be fine. Some contributions from Haslem & Chalmers, that'll help too.

Well, I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic about that. But come on, chosen against what? There's no evil tyranny that LeBron needs to slay, lol.

I think Wade and LeBron have to mirror their performance from this game, from now on, to have a chance at winning everything.

Unless all the roleplayers for Miami suddenly become inspired, every single point Miami scores has to be influenced by Wade and James, without Bosh.

I really don't know why this is a topic for discussion. The answer is so obvious. And if you don't know what the answer is please delete your clutch account now.

This thread was such a premature ejaculation. Miami was never even close to losing in the 2nd round to the mediocre pacers, even without Bosh. You guys pre-ejaculated all over yourselves the same way when Chicago won game 1 last year against miami..... then the Heat won the next 4, lol.

Provided the thread title states "if they lose in the second round" it is clearly a hypothetical question. The only person who is jumping too quickly to conclusions would be you, as the series hasn't ended yet. The irony of the situation is a little amusing.
