Parsons better be careful with his acne. Let this be a lesson to all young men.

Gonna have to agree with you on that one. Dunno bout any of those guys being near All-Stars. Solid role players is them more appropriate term for those guys.

Lowry and Dragic were playing at near All-Star levels, but in order to be an All-Star, you have to show that you can do it night in and night out, for an extended period of time. Their sample size isn't really enough to work with. Not only that, you have to show that you are capable of producing those same numbers and having a similar impact on a winning (playoff ) team and have.

Duncan not a superstar?? He is a lock for the Hall of Fame.

But Parsons and Lee are near all-stars? I know there are homers on this board, but this is nuts.

Yep,its funny how randolph was a stat padder, but martin ws effecient, lol. At some point,a lot of clutchfans say a guy is putting up great numbers on a average or below avg ,but when a rockets does it,he's great or a steal. I think very few players ealy in their careers can impact the game in a win-loss manner. KD has been great, but they were in high lotto the next 2 yrs after they drafted him. The key is the talent. That's why I don't buy into the tyreke evans is a bum theory. A lot of people are saying how much better harden is,but is harden a better talent? If harden were on the kings, would they be any better? If I could get evans and lopez as a start,I don't really care what happened in their previous stop because they have huge talent.

Were they not discussing the possibility of Lowry making the All-star team this past season? Also, trust me, Parsons will be all-star material next season. Where ever he is.

Parsons can barely stroke a wide open J right now and he plays for a lottery team. While his contributions have outweighed his draft position, he is generally viewed in lesser esteem than Championship Posey or Championship Bowen...two guys they learned to hit a J and still never played in the NBA All Star Exhibition.

A lottery team? Geeze. Give us some credit even though that is technically true.
And who views him as a lesser Posey or Bowen?

One outlier does not make your point....

MJ may not be able to recognize talent because his was off the charts...

It's not important to recognize who are whose superstars.....
They win with good D and Adelman's offense right now..... Talking about learning from the best, they went with more of a Princeton approach

Generally GREAT players make poor talent evaluators and coaches, because they can't comprehend the average players because they were so good.

The best coaches and talent evaluators are usually average or role players who found a way to be successful even though they lacked great talent as a player.

Jerry West, Lenny Wilkens, and Larry Bird all disagree. The best coaches and evaluators tend to be average or role players because most players in the NBA are average or role players.
