Will Smith hasn't made a decent flick since Independence day and that will remain the best movie with Will Smith in it...
I had posted this in the MIB 3 thread, but the guy who kissed him did it on purpose, not a cultural thing...apparently that's his shtick. Smith went from Philly back to hollywood in a few seconds
I am Legend was great. That reporter knew what he was doing. I'm guessing he's the Sacha Baron Cohen of the Ukraine.
I think Bagger Vance is one the best golf movies ever made, the contrasting Hagen and Jones characterizations were enjoyable; Matt Damon always puts forth a good effort and Smith had to play completely against type. Hitch was a reasonably watchable "screwball" romantic comedy. Pursuit of Happyness was halfway made up, but Smith showed his most emotional range and vulnerability since Six Degrees.
I think the two women back there, are from his PR dept, you can see one women tell the other one to go and talk to the reporter that got slapped. and Will Smith didnt do anything wrong, if a stranger tries to invade your personal space you can react that way.
First, the white man pretends to be his friend and kisses him and then next thing Will Smith will find himself in shackles on a free boat ride across the ocean to work on a South Carolina plantation. Good thing Will Smith stood up for his rights.
Not enough Philly. He should have given the dude a proper slap ala Archie: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/1HBZRkRRCwY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
That may explain his skin tone but I think most of those slave raids were pretty standard catch and grabs.
i didn't see him try to kiss will on the lips....looked like the standard two cheeks.... They do that in Brasil where i'm from and in alot of european countries..... Will was not in America...i think he overreacted.
Well as Will was trying to let go the guy seemingly kept trying to bring him in closer which probably led to Will overreacting.
I'm not so sure, the reporter was a little abrasive and MOST PEOPLE DO KNOW AMERICAN MEN OFTEN STICK to HAND SHAKE and nothing else, sort of like old fashioned Japanese men bow.
