This. Pretty much sums it up. I don't think it was rigged on the same level of the Lakers-Kings series years ago. But the bad calls suddenly went lopsided in crunch time.
Foul calls were dumb, but I respect Kobe for having ice in his veins and not missing any free throws down the stretch. I think the Lakers will get stomped today, no way Kobe can keep up today with no rest. I imagine he shoots 5-25. Low scoring game Thunder 86 Lakers 75
I guess nobody wants to address Perkins illegal screens? Is that ok for OKC to get away with? There were bad calls on both ends last night and the Lakers prevailed fair and square just like the King series What good would the Kings do if they got equal amount of free throws in that game 6? Game 7 at home they got their free throw attempts and choked it all away!
Impressive that Bynum has yet to miss a free throw this series. When they brought it up I thought he would finally miss one.
http://espn.go.com/nba/dailydime/_/page/dime-120518/daily-dime "We fouled too many times," Brooks said. "That's the bottom line. Forty-two is a high number. "We were using our hands. Fouling too much."
They get them because they attacked the basket. They blow by Kobe and metta at will. How many times did Kobe get clean blocked single covered? There not just giving OKC free calls. Blake holding wb, Kobe holding harden, and metta holding Durant are all mismatches.
Sure OKC is aggressive but they do get a lot of bogus call throughout the season in the 4th. They are the last fans that should be complaining about officiating.
I saw some of the highlights. Harden got some ticky-tack fouls in the first 5 minutes and got the Lakers in the penalty with 7 minutes to go. C'mon man. OKC should be the last team/fans to complain. They win a bunch of games just on FTs alone during the reg. season. And the home team usually gets the advantage in FTs anyways. The Lakers just made them ALL.
Illegal screens are like flopping and traveling in the NBA. Everybody does it and nobody is enforcing it. So how do you want to address that?
Man, da Thunder better grab this one. Hopefully the whistle doesn't blow every time Kobe touches the ball.
