This was the biggest no-call of the game...

Listened to the 4th quarter on radio on way from work, and checked to make sure when I got home the amount of FTs. 42 FTAs for the Lakers. DAmn half of their points came from the line.

Rockets fans who are Lakers fans are the most annoying. I cant wait until Lakers are eliminated so we dont have to listen to you anymore.

I'll ask again just in case someone is just now looking at the thread: Is there a way to pull up halftime stats, particularly fouls and FTs? I saw only 5 mins of the 1st half and all of the 2nd half and the disparity of fouls and FTs seemed huge. I'm betting the final game lopsidedness was almost all in the 2nd half alone.

FT disparities happen. Maybe I just watch way too much basketball. But this wasn't bad at all.

    The reffing was consistent.

If you blame everything in life on something you can't control then you're gonna get nowhere.

Anyway, I'm off. If it makes you happier to believe that the NBA is rigged then go for it I suppose.

Did Kobe penetrate a lot to get those 18 FTs? He can't get to the paint consistently anymore to get that many FTs.

Especially from a self professed Laker homer.

What's annoying is when everyone just assumes that inconsistent officiating is biased officiating.

Thunder got their calls as well. No way this was the worst called game ever, Not even in the playoffs. What was game 3 of the Heat and Knicks series? Knicks got no calls, meanwhile Lebron flopped all over MSG and got the whistle every time.

He got 2 soft calls on Harden which were just fighting for position. Harden got a similar call on the other end.

Kobe did get into the paint a decent amount thanks to off the ball movement.

Refs just weren't letting any physicality go. I really really hope someone lets the teams play next time around.

And again, it's hilarious because OKC gets the softest calls in the NBA. Westbrook is always outta control and is impossible to officiate. Harden and Durant's necks are super sensitive since their heads fly backwards if they feel any contact near them.

No whats annoying is truly Lakers fans who are Rockets fans. That is not a Rockets fan. Other than that? The officiating was horrible.

That's the thing though. OKC usually gets most of the calls. That's why they're so good in the 4th. From the radio, Harden got LAL into the penalty early but then they stopped attacking.

OKC is like Miami Heat of the West, but deeper. They have the star power, but can struggle to score so much at times it's baffling.

From reading his lips: Did Ibaka say, "Hit my balls man."

    No homo.

I think I heard Mike Breen say that James Harden led the NBA in number of Free throws attempted in the 4th.

I want Joey Crawford fired. Now that would benefit the Rockets. We all know when it comes to Crawford and the Rockets? They are never on the good side of his calls. Thats not so much to want. He clearly cant do his job anyways.

That's true. And OKC led the league in FT attempts and makes in the 4th as well. That's why they're a great 4th quarter team.

They got a taste of their own medicine tonight.

    But OKC still got this.

Kobe is not the same player. My friend who is a HUGE Kobe fan texted me and said watching Kobe and Durant on the same court shows how much Kobe has declined.

And from radio, don't know why Brooks took Durant off of Kobe midway through the 4th. After Kobe scored 2 straight over Fisher (WTF???), Durant switched on him: first blocked his shot, then stole his ball.

Agreed. Basketball is a strange game though. I think OKC is the better team easily. I want to sleep on the Lakers. I want them to lose.

But somehow, I have a bad feeling that they're going to make it interesting.
As a huge T-Mac fan, I hate Kobe. But just the fact that he can still carry the team a little bit is insane. He hit a couple of tough shots over Harden. He can't get to the rim when on the ball.

It's sad to watch but amazing that he is still a superstar.

Kobe has become like Lebron was for me (I'm actually rooting for Lebron to shut people up now). I hate Kobe, want his team to lose, but DAMN. I don't ever want to see him retire because watching him play basketball and doing everything he can is just amazing.

i didn't pay a ton of attention to this game until the 4th but are people really complaining that the thunder got screwed? i think james harden personally got in the penalty with 7:16 in the 4th. maybe there was another foul on someone else but i think he had drawn 5 fouls in under 5 minutes of a playoff game and no one had even made solid contact on him (edit: just checked the pbp, yep he got all 5 fouls, the last 3 in 51 seconds). a couple were as ticky tack as it gets. if people like kobe and lebron got to the line every time someone bumped them like harden does they would shoot 30 free throws a game (well kobe shot 18 getting some ticky tack calls of his own). i'm rooting for the thunder but they didn't get screwed. more like they simply got a taste of their own medicine.

watching harden is almost getting to be like watching chris paul for me. i love their games, their intelligence, and their skill, but between paul's flopping (probably on another level from everyone else in the league) and the inexplicable love harden gets from the referees (it's like old kevin martin calls before they changed the rules + superstar calls all rolled into one) it's hard to actually appreciate them.

There were some questionable calls against the Thunder tonight, but there were also blatant flops by Harden that got called. So it evens out.
