[Childbirth] Tricks for inducing labor?

    Hi and I completely understand if you don't want to talk about this, but why not bring it up, make your Friday interesting... after all, if we're talking about floaters and sinkers...

    I have done my time, served my sentence of 9 months/40 weeks. I am sharing body space with a large squirming baby who apparently cannot find the exit. Anyone have any stories of home remedies that work? Otherwise, they will induce in a few days, but just curious.

    You men have the easier end of the deal in any of these situations... anyway, ready to get this over with so I will no longer have to freak out about it... I mean, it's actual freaking childbirth, a bit scary...

    If I remembered correctly, they have labor inducing drug right? Either that or sex.

    When is your next checkup? That did it for my wife both times. Within an hour of that last checkup, her water broke.

    Hang in there. Both our kids came after 41 weeks. We were freaking stir crazy by the end of the wait. Tell your husband to come up with daily activities to keep you distracted.

    Orgasms have been proven to help kickstart the process, so you could try having sex.

    Do you have a drop dead inducement date set with your doctor?
