Even if they beat the heat which isn't a given will they have a chance against the celtics or supurs or thunder?

I think, if anything, they should trade Wade. They played better without him this year, and now without Bosh, he really seems like he is just not a good fit with Lebron.

Bosh is overpriced. He is far from the same level as lebron and wade. If lebron and wade gets 17mil each, he should be at 10mil.

With two great play makers in the team, they need a big man in the paint who can DEFEND. Remember how bosh got eaten alive in the finals last year by dirk?

Don't expect guys like bosh and amare to carry a championship team in the paint cause they suck at defence.

IF a trade is to be made, Wade is the one that needs to go. You need that inside-outside combo and it was pretty clear that when Wade was out this year, the Heat did not skip a beat. Lose LeBron or Bosh, and the results were not so favorable. They could bring in quite some good help in a trade for Wade.

I personally believe they should try again with the Big 3 and hope for better health next year. I think when they are all healthy, they are the team to beat.

Wow. So you wouldn't take Bosh, LeBron, or Wade over any of the current Rockets?

Please tell me how good of a GM you would be.

I know it's very very unlikely and I've posted in another thread but the best thing for both teams would be to deal Lowry, Kmart, Dalembert, (Parsons or 1st round pick in 2013 if Miami will take it instead) for Wade, Mike Miller, and Joel Anthony.

    Why Miami should do it...
With Wade and LeBron together they end up taking turns on offense because they both need the ball in their hands to play well. Trading for this package from Rockets allows them to put the following team out on the court which doesn't have the star power but a team the works together well.

    Lowry/Chalmers
    Kmart/ James Jones
    LeBron/Parsons/Battier
    Bosh/Haslem
    Dalembert/Turiaf

    Why Houston should do it...
It would hurt to let that much talent leave especially if Miami insists on Parsons but this is what it takes to get a superstar and reshape the team. Also, it allows Rockets to bring back Dragic at the salary/playing time he is looking for.

    Dragic
    Wade/C.Lee
    M.Miller/Budinger/M.Morris
    Scola/Patterson
    Camby/Anthony

and possibly add guys like PG Kendall Marshall and C Meyer Leonard in the draft. This team won't compete for a championship next year but it would have room to add a big time player in the following offseason. 2013 free agents include D.Howard, Bynum, Al Jefferson and Milsap

Reasonable trade for both sides, but I don't think Dragic and Wade will go that well together. Both need the ball in their hands to be effective...

When Wade was out this year, Lebron and Bosh owned the NBA. This is when Lebron won his MVP - when dumbass Wade was out.

Wade is the one that needs to go but he won't cause of what he has done.

Bosh will be first to go if they do blow it up.

But they will try one more year with a new coach before that happens.

OP, Miami's trying to win championships, not simply qualify for the playoffs. Having any package from Houston is not going to make them a much stronger team.

Dalembert was woefully inconsistent, while they need a good jump shooter at the #1.

Houston doesn't have the package to get Bosh and make Miami substantially better (Scola and Dalembert is a downgrade in a way), and they won't trade Wade for player who isn't at least all-star worthy

Just because the Pacers are currently up 2-1 on an imploding Miami team doesn't mean they are all the sudden the model the Rockets should emulate.

When is the last time a team without a superstar won the championship? And don't say Detroit in 2004 because before that, it hadn't happened since the 70's.

As far as the topic goes, I expect the coach to get fired if the Heat doesn't win it all this year. They will probably try and lure Phil out of retirement.

If Indiana beats Miami, there's a chance that Hibbert/Granger/whoever might end up as "stars" by the time this is all over.

This. You don't win without superstars.

They should look to move Wade. The problem is that his value will be at all-time low due to his play and attitude.

There is more than one way to win basketball games.

Teamwork and "the sum is greater than the parts" is a pretty enjoyable approach. It has not been the norm for NBA champions, but does that mean it never could be? Detriot got the same trophy as other champions. Seattle is 1979 was more like the Pacers , a bunch of guys scoring 12-19 points per game and defending.

Heroball has its advantages, for sure

Plan A: get some stars, a decent coach who can handle egos, and some role players

Plan B: build a balanced roster with top-flight defense in the paint, on the perimeter, and in transition; with good rebounding skills, high basketball IQ, decent half-court offense, balance of inside and outside threats on offense, decent transition game, can hit 3s when needed, and with a top-flight coaching staff that not only manages egos, makes in-game adjustments, and most of all develops talent.

Plan A works much more often than plan B, just because it is much harder to complete plan B.

Bosh and LBJ with a bench would be way better, than Wade. Wade is older than the two, and a shell of himself. It would be the smartest move by Miami. But LBJ and Wade have a bromance that makes Cuttino and Francis look like puppy love.

They have an interior player, they dont need two wing players who demand the balla s much as those two do.

I would like to have Bosh in Houston. People quickly forget that Bosh was a 24-10 player in Toronto. If we put some good pieces around him, it will attract other to Houston too.

They should move Wade. I think Riley has the balls to do it. If possible, Wade and Bosh for Dwight and an extended Ryan Anderson.
