You neglected to tell us how the salaries match up in your proposed scenarios. How much do the Rockets have to allocate towards a top ten draft pick when matching salaries? What is the salary cap situation for all of the teams in your scenarios as they apply towards your proposals?. In addition, you did not address how the Rockets would get a 'dead-eye SG' with the second round pick they don't have or who that player is.

Seriously?...? Lets say for arguments sake dwill doesnt sign and we get a mediocre sg fa at best... lets look at the team Dwight/camby- way better reserve than hes ever had... Ppat/motie- potentially weak/potentially surprising depending on how ppat looks next to a dominate dwigt and how good motie actually is...still better than the pfs hes been playin with over his career... parsons/hedo- parsons very solid glue guy(still devoloping) with hedo whos been with dwight forever now comin off bench to jus shoot... better than orlandos past... C.lee/F-A the thinnest and potentially weakest spot on team.. although, c.lee was starting when dwight actually went to finals... now hes a seasoned vet per se... who knoss about the backup... Dragic/duhon- better pg than hes ever had along with his current backup backin us up... Thats better than orlandos finals team... and deeper...and depending on whether you could get a dwill or a stud sg like gordon or maybe ray allen...that team has contender written all over it...
The only way we take on those bad contracts is if dwight signs an extension which won't happen. We would shooting ourselves in the foot if we did that for future plans.

I don't,and I doubt if many others will see it as well. It might have been possible if Martin and Luis had strong seasons. Dally is inconsistent. Bosh is young and athletic,even though he is not a top notch PF.
Guys, lets talk realistic. We have a small pipedream chance of blowing up our team and grabbing Dwight. Every year, there's talk about a lottery team really to blow up there team to grab a superstar, and every year the deals don't go through. These type of trades rarely happen when a team gives away its team for a Superstar. Let's talk reality. Things with a high chance of happening. Like for example: trading up in the Draft. Who do we want to trade up for and of what cost? Bradley Beal, Andre Drumond, Harrison Barnes? Bradley Beal Place Picked: Will probably be picked at around the 4th-5th spot. Possible Trade Partners: New Orleans Hornets, Sacramento Kings, Portland TrailBlazers, Toronto Raptors Trade Scenario 1: Lowry, Scola, Martin, 16th pick to New Orleans for Emeka Okafor and their first Draft pick(if lottery keeps this the same...will be at the 4th spot.) Trade Scenario 2: Lowry, Scola, 16th for Sacramento Kings draft pick. (Right now at the 5th position.) Trade Scenario 3: Lowry, Martin for Trail Blazers pick. (Right now 6th.)Bit of a reach, Beal would have to drop. Trade Scenario 4: Lowry, Bud, for Raptors pick(7th). Beal would have to drop, or Raptors would have to get a boost in the lottery. Note: These are all hypothetical, as I have not accounted that the Draft lottery will shake all the places up. It would be appreciated if everyone left of where I did and showed different scenario's for other players like Drummond and Barnes etc.
If you wanna trade proven starters for unproven unknown rookies my hypothetical would be more around trading with portland... Klow/kmart/dal1st to portland for #6/#11(theyve have said they want out the first rd... why trade for lowry when you can go after dragic?because fa is a crapshoot and lowry is a great contract... george hil got #15 martin could get #11 but add futire dal1st as extra incentive... We now (in theory before the lottery) own #6,#11,#14,#16... Trade #6/#14 to new orleans for number 4 to draft beal(they have gordon, which i believe they will match any contract offer this.fa)they wont mind sliding from 4 to 6 because they wouldnt mind taking eithrr drummond or barnes whoever is left plus gain an extra lottery pick... #4-beal #11-zeller/henson #16-marshall All a dream scenario... less likely to happen then a dwight trade but i love to speculate and fantasize... It really isnt that far-fetched or unrealistic... neither is the proposal i made for dwight above... But they are both unlikely to occur... if i had to choose between which one to accept id go with dwight, extension or not... i like beal alot, kinda see him as a dwade of sorts,but wed still be years from contention and a couple years of astros style basketball... But i wouldnt mind either qnd in all honesty id rather keep lowry... hes my fav player and plays.with heart and.is our leader... but i realize dragic is.making him available aswell as hes our best trade pick... im curious to were we go this off season for sure....
