    This story epitomizes selfishness and self-absorption. A human stabs another human because they were expecting a more expensive gift! No one owes you a nice gift, it's called a GIFT for a reason.

    Ding Ding Ding. I am and I did. Didn't appreciate the negativity towards my town. There are stupid people all over the place, that do worse than this (not to imply this action was okay). Now had it been Vidor and he made the comment, I'd have jumped right on it.

    And there are some depressing areas of Beaumont, but most of those are way better than some of the depressing areas in Houston. The smell is bad in Port Neches and Evadale, neither of those are Beaumont. My point is there are a lot worse places to live, and some better ones. My guess is all those places have their share of idiots. And this story is sad no matter where it happened.

    Sorry, I know Port Neches is not technically Beaumont, but it's like 5 miles away from Beaumont.

    I totally forgot about Vidor until you mentioned it. I would hope you would have joined in on ripping Vidor. Luckily, I never did more than pass thru there. I'm pretty sure my niece and nephews might not be treated very well by most of the population there. I'm not very fond of a lot of East Texas either.

    Sorry for sounding like a jackass, but my memories of the Port Neches/Beaumont metro area aren't the greatest. I'm sure there are good parts, but it's not the first place I'd choose to visit.

    Well, it wasn't a Happy Mother's Day for her cause she is scum and she ensured there will be no Happy Childrens' Day ever for her children. At least, no childrens' day when the parents are around. One would guess the father's mom would get custody of the children in this case. Happy Mother's Day to her. You now get to raise your dead son's kids. Plenty of "presents" to go around on this one.

    BTW - as someone that grew up in Baytown - Beaumont and Baytown are not exactly a great place to live, unless you enjoy inhaling smoke from the petroleum plants.
