    Totaly agree with you on this.

    Think about this...when the cops arrested Ken Lay did they kick and beat him after he surrendered? Of course not. Lay stole way more money than that 15 year old kid did. So why is it okay to them to beat on a 15 year old kid?

    Understandable. Just like i wouldn't feel bad about a poor thief stealing from a wealthy and wasteful company or individual, but it doesn't make it right. You're suppose to be innocent until provent guilty, and even if Holley ran, the cops could not have had all the facts at that moment. They don't know if this guy just got spooked and ran or what his role actually was in the burglary (there were3 others involved). Two cops testified that they only saw him jump a fence, but never saw him enter the home or carry anything out. Also, he' was only 15 at the time. He was doing wrong, but you've got several grown men stomping on a teen who's voice probably just broke that summer. Sure, they may not have known that, but that's precisely why they shouldn't beat a suspect.

    My point is you have two people who surrended. The cops only beat one of them. Why the difference? The cops job is to arrest people, not hand out punishment.

    If the cops decided to "help" the kid into the cop car by hitting his head up against it, I wouldnt be mad. But what you saw on tape wasnt right at all. Not defending the kids actions, but the cops shouldn't get off freely for beating up on civilians.

    HPD has too many dirty cops, they need to have their "eat donuts for free" badge taken away.

    you commit robbery and you should consider yourself lucky to not have a bullet in the face...

    you run from the police and you should consider yourself lucky to not have serious injuries....

    Having said that, the cops didn't just kick and hit him trying to get him in custody.... he was in no way a threat within seconds of being apprehended... yet cops were randomly coming up and kicking him. That crosses a line. I dont know what the punishment should be, but that isn't right.

    i belive the others will be scheduled next week.

    Blomberg is one of the first to get to holley to his left, he stomps on him twice, while holding the fence, then he took off running, i guess to go stomp the other suspects :p

    Yes, several more trials on the way, not sure when.

    I'm not surprised Blomberg got off. Blomberg had the least amount of physical contact with the suspect of all the Cops we see in the video. I think the argument was made that Blomberg used his foot to try and pin the suspects arm to the ground. What Blomberg did compared to the other cops was very minor in my opinion.

    While I'm not surprised Blomberg got off, I will be shocked if some of the other cops aren't found guilty of something. It looked like some of those cops were completely out of control, and just beating up on a suspect that was trying to surrender.

    People always talk about holding people accountable for their actions
    Cops are rarely held accountable

    definately not to the extent that others are.

    "They're jobs are dangerous" - does not give them the RIGHT . . . or even the PRIVILEGE
    to abuse the power and position they are in.

    One of the signs was funny. It said something about the "...racist cops..."

    Like the cops made that black oxygen thief break into a house and then run.

    I wanna go walk around down there with a sign that says "STOP THE BURGLARIES."
