I should have put an ALL OF THE ABOVE option Not 1 single Rocket fan hates Yao Ming, they may dislike his fans who don't watch the games and go on clutchfans for publicity, but Yao himself is a ROCKET FOR LIFE.
I'm sure the people who do hate Yao have their reasons (misguided as they may be), but I can't see how you could feel that way about Yao of all people. Some people can't separate the player from the circumstances that affected him.
Yao tried his hardest, failed to accomplish what he wanted, and still has a humble, honorable opinion about his entire NBA experience. "No what if's, we tried our best". Great human being and an all time great Rocket.
It was just unfortunate and very frustrating, but I don't hate him for it. Tmac is a different story (and I don't hate him either. I just don't care for him.)
He should of been given the NBA medal of honor for still trying to play. Little Yao hating teenagers have no idea how debilitating a foot injury of any kind is. You have no clue the pain Yao had to deal with. He still isn't 100 percent, duno if he ever will be. I imagine he'll end up walking around like Mchale. Pimp Limp.
5th option: Yao Ming embodied the spirit of the Rockets Franchise and the city of Houston as a whole. Unwavering Dedication, Humbleness, Humility and Heart. Looking back we will always be proud for what Yao did for this city. No we did not win anything significant, but we were lucky enough to be a part of a truly selfless mans journey that changed the world of basketball. Yao was a model of modesty and selflessness, and each one of us - not to mention every NBA player - can learn a lesson from that.
Good thread to honor Yao but bad thread if you include the true terms true rockets fans and not true rockets fans because you make decisions
Well, true Rockets fans are the those who are willing to spend money on the Rockets games, so that Les can make more money, and be happy to spend more money to improve the team. By the way, who cares you are true Rockets fans or not if you do not spend money to support the Rockets? This world is all about money.
A wise, wise lesson. Another wise lesson. The lessons apply to other players as well. Anyway, Yao Ming was great and is missed in many ways.
Oh, one of these threads again. Just like when someone in the Dish said the MVP is a popularity contest, and you started a thread in the GARM saying someone said Hakeem's MVP was a farce. You gotta face facts, dude. It was 17 years ago. If our last championship was a girl, I'd be a year away from being legally able to slay that chick in the bedroom. I could already make teh secks with the 1st one.
