Phil Jackson would not have lost that game.

There are only 30 head coaching jobs in the NBA, and Mike Brown has one of them. You, on the other hand, are just an annoying poster on a basketball forum. You fail at life.

A trend I'm seeing is Kobe seems to be running out of gas near the end of the first round this year and last year.

He SUCKED last yr in the 2nd round. And he's sucking this year in the 2nd round.

And yes, this game is entirely on Kobe. Dude choked like crazy.

Kobe was awesome at the beginning of the season but there was no way he could bring that same level to the playoffs after 66 condensed games. He's almost spent. He was puffing near the end of the 1st half.

Kobe was done mid-way through the season. His fg% went from 47% to start the year, to 42%. And now it's going south of 40% in the playoffs.

I think Kobe needs to see that he's not the same guy, who can dominate the game offensively all the time. He needs to learn to pick his spots, and trust his teammates. I mean, he has to do that now since he's no longer the same player that can go to the rim at will to get himself going.

Phil Jackson would never get swept in a playoff series.

That is the truth, when you get old, your recovery rate is longer. One thing about Popovich I really like is that he is funny (DNP-too old) and protective of his players, Duncan sat out against the Rockets (division foe) and he doesn't play back-to back. Lakers will choke when Kobe gets all the shots.

The Lakers struggled against nuggets. Maybe they aren't that good ?

Since nobody else gon bring it up, Kobe was 0-5 in the last 2 minutes with 2 costly turnovers. That's the coaches fault?

Don't forget that he was letting Harden blow by him.

Kobe refuses to take a secondary role and thus must hoist up about 25 shots per game and handle the ball at the ned. The result is what you saw yesterday.

Can you imagine the response if LeBron was 0-5 with 2 turnovers in the last 2 minutes?????

How many times did Phil Jackson win a title without one of the more talented rosters in the league?

OP should answer that question, considering this is the same team that was a non-factor against the Mavs, last year.

It's ironic, the teams that have beaten the Lakers (Mavs and possibly OKC in a few days) in the playoffs are teams that were much better than any team the Lakers played in their last two championship runs.

Name one great squad the Lakers beat 07-08, 08-09, and 09-10. They've played two teams that they are evenly matched with or have better talent than they do and they are losing (with both Phil Jackson and Mike Brown).
