It's the only way possible Kobe isn't with the Lakers both years. But it wouldn't be logical for the team because they still have to pay him and removing his salary would still leave them above the cap. Next season (assuming they pick up Bynum's option), Kobe/Pau/Bynum will cost LA $63 million by themselves.
You think he will want to stay when Buss is making Brown run everything through Bynum? Even Bynum knows he's the future. He's thier best player now.
I'm not sure how his ego would take it. He could either take his ball to another team like you suggest or try to prove that he is the best player and basically repeat what he did during this season, but to a higher degree.
best part was when the lakers bandwagoners on my timeline was acting all cocky like the lakers won the game, then when they lost they all pissed and quiet. epic
I know. Removing Kobe's salary from their cap number would leave the Lakers near the cap and they still wouldn't have room to sign an impact player.
Bynum: laughing "oh goodness, we are like Santa Clause. We like giving out gifts. We give out games, contracts and rings. Yeah. That's not a shot on Kobe.
According to Kobe, when a team is trailing very late, jumping passing lanes is "unconventional". Learn something new every day. KD is doing his Dirk imitation tonight with the microphone.
Andrew Bynum has turned out to be quite an entertaining character. I hope we offer him the max next summer.
