As always, no PBP in the thread. If you need that try one of the game cast sites. Keep discussion to this series. If it is not about this series it goes somewhere else.

5-16 Randy Wolf, LHP vs. Bud Norris, RHP 7:05 on FSH

5-17 Shaun Marcum, RHP vs, J.A. Happ, LHP 7:05 on FSH

They may no longer be affiliated with the Selig family, but the Brewers will always be Bud's team to me. And for that, they will receive my undying hatred until I'm dead.

Sweep. And I hope Ryan Braun gets booed eternally.

    Sweet.

Let's hope ****-for-brains gets him out of the leadoff spot and back where he belongs in the 2-hole.

We need at least a split here to stop the bleeding. Since Happ pitches tomorrow, that means we must win tonight.

lee is finally putting it together early for the first time since his hand injury a few years ago. days of 35 hr seasons are long gone though.

all the fun we poke at him, the fact always remains, the guy can mash.

Mash probably isn't the right word, but he does still have some game.

Not sure how I feel about our GM making statements like this. Might rub some teams the wrong way ("yay, we blew out the Brewers!"), and we might be in a position to want to trade with those teams down the line.

He also had a very interesting quote in the Chronicle the other day while discussing Jed Lowrie:

I'm glad our rookie GM is off to a good start, don't get me wrong. I just don't want him to get too high on his horse and start alienating himself from the other front office folks in baseball that he has to work with. You know how silly things get when people start feeling shown up in baseball.

What's up, RM95? Can I be known as the poster formerly known as desihooper?

In all seriousness, people tend to do business with people the like and trust. We all complain about Morey not being able to get the "big deal" done compared to the deals that CD was able to do (Drexler, Barkley, Francis, T-Mac) while he was GM. The fact is, people liked working with CD, and they might not like working as much with the "Boy wonder" GM who "got over" on teams with his deals for Lowry, Martin, Scola, etc. It's a perception issue, and in business, it's a big deal.

So I suppose that is nitpicking
