our family was sponsored by a church in alabama. the local newspaper wrote an article about our first thanksgiving there. my mom showed me the article 17 years ago and since then she has been unable to locate it. i contacted the local library to see if they could somehow locate a copy on microfilm. they replied to me a couple of days later. they found it! i was excited. my mom was beyond ecstatic when i gave it to her framed. she couldn't stop smiling all day.
We used a service that transfers photos onto canvas and took one of our kids bluebonnet photos and made a large size print for my mother. Got my wife a nice framed full size mirror and put it with the kids school-made cards.
Took my wife and kids out for dinner (Sunday night) and had crawfish with he grandparents (Saturday). Got the wifey some roses and choclate nothing different than valentines.
I *****ed that *** and damn she enjoyed it, then I pulled my **** and let her do the *****, that dirty **** loved it. Don't have a wife, can't answer the second part.
What a bunch of lame gifts, somebody better post something creative because mother's day here is the last Sunday of May.
Bought my mother a Kindel Fire and I let the wife drive me home after having a few beers too many. No kids yet, dogs don't count.
And I'm not Asian, dude. Some people assume my first name is "Yung" and I'm Chinese or somethin, it's crazy. Yung=Young.
I sent my wife to the spa the day before and took care of the kiddo for a while, but on actual Mother's Day, we went into Lowe's, and I managed to walk out with a new gas grill, and then we went next door to Costco, and I managed to walk out with a new whitewater raft. Come to think of it, I'm probably gonna pay for this one down the line somewhere.
Not really. She was cool as ****, and a great mom. As I got older, we were great friends as well. She lived a long life, and died in her sleep (the way she wanted.......though I'd like to give her a hard time for doing it while she was on a road trip with me). Nothing but great and fond memories.
