The WNBA and MLS dont count. Thats like saying your local high school team has 4 state championships. Houston is a large cosmopolitan city, not Odessa Texas.
From 1999-2009 they were bottom 5 in the entire league. I go to about half the games and the lower bowls are half empty. They need to lower ticket prices.
That's not going to tell me anything. The 2005 series vs. Dallas, however, will. That's pretty much when I, myself, quit on the fanbase. Of course, I don't speak for everyone, so it's obviously a, let's call it a "personal matter".
So basically what you're saying is that since Hakeem retired, we haven't sucked. Except for the last 12 years.
to add to that: we have superstar player even if getting a superstar in nfl is easier than the nba we won the division last season we won our very first playoff game
Still, you gotta give props when they are due. Truthfully, any team that represents my city, that continually(in the Comets and Dynamo's case)puts my city in conversation worldwide, is on the list.
So what? Last I recall, the fans were the customers and the team was the vendor. The vendor is supposed to perform, not the customer. If the fans don't show up at the games, that's on the team.
the only problem i have with our fans is the lack of excitement from the fans. i could care less about if you show up or not, thats your money, but when you are there you might as well get your money worth. people that be at the games just sit there like they listening to a damn college lecture or movie theater. you are suppose to have a good time at the game, not just sit there. considering i dont pay for my tickets and im expected to cheer loud, even when i was buying tickets and going to at least 1 game a month i cheered loud.
That Lakers game was enough for me. Kobe chants and booing Rockets home players in a CLOSE GAME AT HOME. Are you fucking serious? I might understand if it was a blowout, but it was not. I never seen anything like that. No excuses, that was embarrassing.
agreed. the lakers game did it for me too. half rockets/half lakers fans? are u freaking serious? the lakers fans were even booing our players at the line. i never seen that before in my life as for the booing players..i agree with you. the only time i would boo our players is if i know they are not trying hard. any other time i just dumb
