Entirely feasible in this show that Cat could have been 13 when she had Robb. They made a big deal out of Sansa's first period. She's a woman now at the ripe old age of 13.
Agreed...Why is it so hard for people to realize this? Isn't there a book thread they can discuss ***** in? This is a thread for the TV show...smh
Ratings dropped slightly. Time for bums like me to stop downloading illegally and pony up. Maybe I'll go buy Season 1 DVD which I still haven't done. GoT has become the most pirated show in the galaxy
Banning someone with only 13 posts doesn't really matter. I think they really have another account and knew what they were doing.
It's an interesting situation because there's discussion about the show, discussion about the book, and then discussion about how the show relates to the book. Where does the last category fit in? True. Cat was engaged to Brandon Stark at age 12. In the books, she pregnant with Robb at 18. So in the context of the book, it's true. But in the context of show, the ages of the actors reflect what's more common in Western society regarding when people get married and when they have kids. Joff and the other Stark kids are closer to the ages in the book, but pretty much every other character (other than the ones that are supposed to be REALLY old) is at least 5-10 (if not 20) years older on the show.
I know it's a very strange situation but there has to be a happy medium. I don't usually complain that kind of thing but this show has a lot of shock value in terms of what happens so I'm kind of torn.
I thought there was an attempt to work that out? Seems like someone made a separate thread. IMO it should be a thread for book spoilers and a thread for non book spoilers. Book spoiler thread is for someone who has read ALL the books up till now. Gets too complicated to break down beyond that.
Good to see that the overall ratings with the second viewing are holding steady I guess. To be honest, it's such a serialized show, I imagine it's tough to add a significant number of viewers in the middle of a season. I bet we'll see a jump next year, like we did this year. If not next week, I bet they'll break 4 million on the first viewing of Episode 9.
But it ruins a great story for people that haven't read the books. I think it should go in another thread.
I couldn't remember. I was thinking more like 'show thread for people who have read the books' and one for those who have not. No talk about the books at all in the second one sort of thing.
Action and sex have kind of dropped off. People are wanting some Sparticus action I think. Rocket River
