Strong start! 2-2 with a dunk on a fast break. Edit: 10 points so far half way through the 1st quarter. OMG
He's going be good offensively. He's going to be terrible on defense. Slow laterally and light in the britches.
21 pts (9/19 FG, 1/4 3s, 2/4 FT), 7 reb, 1 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk in 26 minutes. Was locked in early. Seemed to lose focus as the game went on. Can't really blame him. His team was up by 20 for most of the game.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NytyT_JRdMk If you skip to around 1:20 the game highlights from the first game are there. Lots of D-mo highlights....
This is not the highlights from the first game, it's highlights from the second stage of regular season, since this video was uploaded on 5th of April
Game 3 to start in five minutes. If Prokom wins, they advance to the Finals. http://195.245.213.199/Ch0006
Does it annoy anyone else that these Polish league feeds rarely if ever show player / team stats during the game, or even after. I need the English dubbed feed.
Looks like Team Donuts won. http://www.plk.pl/pl/11,mecze/8368,Zastal-Zielona-Gora-Asseco-Prokom-Gdynia.html
Him and Morey are scheming to keep his value low, and keep him out of trade talks this Summer. Typical Murray... sheesh.
I think there is a very good chance that Motiejunas is not allowed to shoot threes for the Rockets. Free throws...I think that and defense is where the Rockets spend a lot of their time this coming training camp to develop him more.
His shot seems to always fall a little flat, and that could affect him from long range. He seems to like to come off picks, and move around alot get open jump shots, so that actually might be a better fit within the Rockets system rather than just having a floor spacing big who is more of a decoy to open up the lane. The NBA is full of floor spacing bigs like Bonner, and Channing Frye. I sure as hell dont want him developing their habits anyways. Keep his A#$ inside the circle.
Why did he pick such a crap team to play for? They got kicked out of Euroleague like 2 weeks into it. He should have got a contract with a team who was going to stay longer in the Euroleague, preferably a final 4 team. The competition he would have been playing against and the skill level of the league it self would have done him wonders before coming into the NBA. Even if it was limited minutes. The level of competition he is playing against now is so far back from NBA, its just not the ideal preparation. He could have done better.
To be fair, he wouldn't have got much time playing time in a Final Four calibre team. Most likely around 8-14 minutes a game. So the thinking behind his team choice was the amount of practice / playing time he could get. He also got a chance to be a leader of his team.
