Never understood why Iron Man could hang with Thor. Thor could obviously open Iron Man like a can of tuna. Flaw in the movie. Against an alien army(mostly henchman) , I'm good with Capt and Hawkeye. Black widow with her pistols are a complete joke. Against Thanos only Panther has a chance. Widow, Capt,and Hawkeye should just be sideline cheerleaders.
I re-watched Thor last night and had never realized that Jeremy Rinner makes an appearance as Hawkeye in the film, backing up Coulson with his bow when Thor finds his hammer on Earth.
Panther? Against Thanos? Has a chance? LOL Panther is basically the same as Captain America, highest level of human physical achievement.
Spoiler Iron Man wasn't really hanging with Thor. If Cap hadn't intervened Thor would have put him away. He had already dented his helmet, and nearly crushed his arm. At the beginning of the fight Thor lit him up with electricity and his suit stated it was powered to 400% (although if you looked at the screen it was actually about 475%). So...I don't think it's too hard to believe he could hang with him for a minute or so. As for Panther hanging with Thanos...yeah...no. I love the character and all, but like txyank said -- he's essentially on Cap's level.

Panther can do a lot better than the other three. His extreme knowledge, Wakandan weapons and suit COMBINED with Thor, Iron Man, and the Hulk is a formidable team. I can't envision Capt being any thing other than a human shield for Thanos.
Never realized this either!! Loved the Avengers. A good all around movie. Would watch it again! The amount of muscle in the movie was pretty good to look at.
