not that it should be an issue for miami to get through indiana but if he is out for the remainder of the playoffs it can be an issue since miami's biggest weakness is lack of size up front and facing some of the teams in the west who have size will hurt.

Forget the West I don't see them beating Boston without Bosh.

They'll need Bosh to win it all IMO.

Not sure about Boston since they have injuries of their own but KG would torch whoever guards him if Bosh isn't playing with the way he's been playing. That is if Boston and Miami both advance to the ECF.

Well it says strained ab. Out indefinitely probably means there is no return date foreseeable as of right now for him based on this type of injury. Usually strained ab shouldn't keep a player out for too long, if at all. I don't see how he's going to miss entire playoff because of strained ab.

Good thing is it's a strain. He walked off on his own so hopefully it's mild, which usually takes 2-3 weeks.

But I'm sure we won't know when he'll return until the day of

If Bosh plays, everyone says he's weak and he's soft and he's not a superstar & Bron and Wade carry him.

Then when Bosh is out, those same people say Heat can't win it all without Bosh. lol

There's nothing wrong with that. Bosh is weak, soft, and not a superstar, but he's still a piece they need to get over the top.

He was out 2 weeks to the same injury: mild. IF Bosh has the same thing, he should come back by the beginning or middle of ECF.

Both of those things can go hand in hand.

The heat already struggle with depth and their frontcourt is a weakness. You take out the best big man that they have and of course you will have a big problem.

Brian Windhorst says out this series then "who knows". Also heard him say (before this news came out) 2-3 weeks like tmac1 said.

Mind you, they had that bad stretch without Bosh during their worst stretch of the season (after the all-star break).

But yes, if Bosh doesn't come by at least for the Finals, this team has no chance of beating any team out West.
