I'd welcome them all! My friend says Fl State and one of them are Big 12 bound by sometime in July. We'll see.

I'm not a proponent for expansion but this would be the best scenario other than Notre Dame.

Add ND and Louisville to the list and you'd have a well-balanced 16 team conference that surrounds the SEC, with all the new guys plus Iowa State and West Virginia being in one Western division to limit the ridiculous travel that WVA has right now.

So from what I'm hearing, the BOT Chairman who did that rant was misinformed, and the ACC is not, in fact, taking 3rd tier football while leaving out 3rd tier basketball. While I'm not sure if they are taking both or leaving both, the BOT guy was wrong that it was different for football and basketball. That seems like a critical thing to know before you go on a big rant about it.

Looks like Miami might be the most likely school to tag along if FSU makes the jump to the Big XII..

From that link, looks like some misinformation concerning the tier 3 rights. Trustee guy is supposedly wrong about basketball not being shared. However, this is just as bad if not worse:

Wow, what a horrible contract. I can't see how the football schools would be ok with that.

Yeah bring along that overrated POS school Miami. Get some damn facilities before you want to call yourself a powerhouse. They're definitely not one. How long before these cheating scumbags get their probation? NCAA should've handed it down by now.

Ok..this is NOT from my friend...but from a guy he knows well who is an attorney in NC who is very well connected to ACC guys. Again, take it all with a grain of salt, because I don't know the guy who is actually saying this....

he says FSU, Clemson, and Miami are absolutely Big 12 bound....and that either Lousville, GT or Marlyand will be coming along.

Again, I don't actually know the guy who my friend is talking about...but my friend (the BU source I talk about here quite a bit) trusts him.

    We'll see. Should be fun!

I wouldn't want any part of Miami, honestly. FSU, Clemson, GaTech and Louisville would be nice though.

Louisville would be ideal. A basketball conference with Louisville and Kansas would rock.

Miami would be interesting...but I tend to agree.

If the Big XII brought in Louisville and FSU the other schools wouldn't matter. That would be an ideal pair to nab.

Now, the Big XII is at 10 right now, so here's my hope:

FSU and Louisville to get it to 12.

Georgia Tech, Clemson, Miami and...HOUSTON! To get it to 16.

They feel too close to the death penalty.

I'm with you on this. I think this is ideal.

All the ND talk I don't see at all. I think if they go anywhere it is the big10

The Big 12 would have to split east-west if they invited all those ACC teams.

    West
    Tech
    Okie St
    OU
    UT
    Baylor
    TCU
    KU
    KSU

    East
    WVU
    Louisville
    Maryland
    GT
    FSU
    Clem
    ISU
    ....?

edit: well I guess they could go north and south if they put the Florida/Georgia schools in the south and put the Kansas schools in the north. Either way, Iowa State sticks out like a sore thumb.
