lolol i don;t think you understand Durant's level. if Rudy Gay did increase his scoring to 25 ppg, that's still not Durantula Status. it didn't happen though did it?

Good thing Rudy nailed 4 of 14 FGAs to stop MJ's Bobcats. Game was close.

IMHO Gay has been better starting last year, he's definitely been the worse player years 1-3, no question about that since Gay didn't have good efficiency and played horrible defense. The current Rudy Gay is a pretty good player, in fact I like him a lot more than Melo, can hit 3's and is just as clutch. However at the end of the day he's just around Lowry level, if the Rockets took Lowry and paid him 15M a year instead of 6M you'd have Rudy Gay.

P.S. I'd cut What some slack, unlike Tinman (who basically only posts in Hakeem era threads, RA threads and Tmac threads) what actually talks about the current Rox, so I think he's a Grizz homer but also a bit of a rox fan, no need to spit so much haterade at him lol.

Rudy Gay with another clutch play tonight to win the game against Portland. His game-winning block at the end sealed the deal for the Griz against the Blazers. Not to mention 21 pts to lead the Griz in scoring on 9-16 shooting, 6 rebs, 3 assists, 1 steal, only 1 turnover, and that 1 game-winning block.

    19 points on 20 shots.

    Chokes the final shot.

Possibly the biggest lead to lose on your homecourt in NBA playoffs history.

SMMFH this kid is so bad.

He isn't that bad. There are quite a few players who can't get 19 out of 20 in a playoff game.

Durant made a much more difficult shot from the same spot. Guess what

Another "clutch" performance by Rudy Gay, leading his team down the stretch.

Without Gay and with Shane Battier, the Grizzlies got to the 2nd round last year. With Gay, they underachieved and bowed out in the first round. Coincidence?

Ignorantly overlooks that Rudy Gay was their most productive player and OJ Mayo, Mike Conley, and Zack Randolph shot a combined 6-36. Say what you want about Rudy Gay and his abilities, but he was not to blame for that loss. No way

Correction: Marc Gasol and Rudy Gay were their most productive players. Toss up between them 2

Their swingman and their center get credit for carrying the load despite role players not being up to the task.

Switch the names with the main swingman and center of Houston's past few years, and even when you only have FOUR players score in a playoff game COMBINED, those Houston players are called chokers and rejects by their own fanbase.

On that standard, as MAX player you gotta call Rudy Gay a slouch. He and Gasol does get the blame, its how it works.
