The difference is, the Lakers' offensive rebounds are tip ins or close up put backs. Denver's offensive rebounds are long rebounds. They have to reset their half court offense after getting back the ball. It's not just the numbers. You have to look at what make up those numbers.
If Perkins is healthy, Lakers have no chance at all. Their offense plays right into the hands of OKC.
That's not accurate. I say when they are playing like crap. Go back and read the posts. I have said multiple times when Bynum is playing stupid. But it has been obvious to me for a long time that it's either the Lakers or the Spurs coming out of the West. I suspect the Spurs win it all. But the Lakers are the other team that has the capability of nutting up and winning the West. They are going to have to play better than this to do so. But the great teams always leave a little something in reserve. We'll see how far they go. I think the Lakers are gonna give the Thunder he..
No, a lot of the offensive rebounds for the Nuggets were around the rim also. They just don't have finishers as most of their bigs are too raw. They end up with 23 offensive boards to the Lakers' 24. Outside of the 2 possessions where Gasol's got like 5 off. boards himself for 2 baskets, the rebounding battle was pretty damn even. The ultimate difference in this game is the 3pt shooting of the Lakers. Steve Blake started out 5-5, and Artest made 4. Those 2 combined for NINE THREES. Nobody in their minds thought that would happen.
Perkins is SOO overrated its laughable The Celtics were already on decline( with injuries), and they lost key role players like Tony Allen and Leon Powe, when the Perkins trade was made, it was just an excuse, so that if they lost( it was a they didnt beat us at full strength backup plan)
