This should be updated this Thursday (for some reason they did not update last Thursday) and pretty much all of SE Texas as well as the area around Dallas down should be completely out of drought conditions. West Texas still needs rain bad, but I don't feel to bad taking our fair share.

That's because we are the fattest city in America.

Lame. That thing looked like it was going to produce. But man, nothing heavy came down in East Tx.

3.5" - over 4.5" of rain so far around parts of DFW... sweet.

Actually it's up around 4' already, and is 34'+" low. Not enough, but better.

Yes, just a little gun shy, I guess, counting chickens and such. We've had some rain, and last night was a good one, but still a long way from 'normal', whatever that is anymore. Hopefully the rain we've gotten will at the very least make for a less treacherous wildfire season, but we could use a lot more.

It looks like Louisiana is getting slammed. May be good for them to help with the drought!

Anyone see this? Happened in the Panhandle yesterday, and yes, that is actually hail, not large rocks. 4' of hail compacted by rain, floodwater and dust. Unreal!

What happened to the flash flood predictions for Houston? It was supposed to rain all night Thursday and all day Friday. Then they changed that to only this afternoon. It hasn't rained here since 1am and hardly anyone got more than an inch.

The only authorized forecast to listen to is:

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/7QLSRMoKKS0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It's surprisingly accurate, even for Houston

We were under a tornado warning for a bit out in Katy. Apparently there was a rotating cloud by Cinco Ranch. I guess it passed. It is raining hard.
