    how come when there is an article about athletes, they are always referred to as "stars."

    WTF?? Yes, because Memphis is known for its upright citizens?? He wasn't even born in Texas....he was born in California. And Brenham is not "NEXT" to Houston.....it's over 70 miles away.

    Oh, and:

    - The Memphis, TN violent crime rate is 250% greater than the Tennessee average and 392% greater than the national average.
    - The Memphis, TN property crime rate is 83% greater than the Tennessee average and 117% greater than the national average.
    - Overall, the Memphis, TN crime index is 102% greater than the Tennessee average and 144% greater than the national average.

    Actually, the only reason I know about this is that my nephew was going there to play baseball, and my mother, grandmother and sister all live in Brenham or Burton.

    It's not all about taking pot shots at houston. ;)

    His lawyer forgot to explain why it was that the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is the one investigating. If this extortionist is 21 and he's 33, wouldn't it be a different department? I'm not yet going to buy that he's merely a victim.

    The article is implying that she lied and she is under 18. If she is sending him pics over the internet and she is under 18 then the case goes to Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

    She "represented herself as a 21-year-old" and "show[ed] her required identification." My guess is she turned out not to have been 21.
