As in this series, McGrady's teams were usually not favored to win the series.. Just saying. Anyway smh at the haters. Why the hate? He's no longer on our team (thereby "making us lose games") So why not root for the guy (or any other human being?) Why would you want bad-will on another human being? There's tons of people out there I can say deserving, but out of all things a professional basketball player? Seriously, "go Celtics, etc etc" not because you're a Boston fan or you like a Celtic player, but because you hate McGrady is so fuking lame.
a sad, sad day for all T-Mac fans around the world. My class had a break and I immediately ran to the nearest computer lab to go check on the score. When I saw the score was a losing effort to the Celtics, a part of me died inside. T_______________T
hating on one of the most talented players in history is their favourite pasttime, didn't you know? hating on tmac only proves hes the f$@king man...!! how come no one is hating on willie green?? or budinger??? or steve blake??? there you go.
TMac's problem is he always played out of position...like Jordan Hill. TMac was a Point Forward. He just needed to be in the right situation...and the Rockets management never understood that. I blame this on Morey for wasting TMac's career. DD ps: it doesn't matter that we traded TMac for Hill, that just means my logic to blame Morey is even more sound.
TMac choose to NOT ring chase. He went for where the most playing time and involvement was. Atlanta was a decent choice. But Detroit? After not relegating his ego enough for Chicago? As his most famous quotable goes - Thats on him.
lol leave the poor guy alone, he lost one playoff series (Detroit back when he was in ORL), one of his teams had Ryan Bowen as a starter and an imprisoned ref. Another had no Yao against a favored Utah team in which he wasn't healthy (with injuries that led him to where he is now), and the other Utah one featured a 6th man Luther Head. Any Rockets fan would know that he plays his heart out in the playoffs, theres no argument there, but his attitude and conduct during the regular season and especially that one trade deadline is what has waranted him all this hate.
Drew shouldn't have brought Hinrich into the rotation, he was complete trash after his injury and messed up the rotation. Teague and Mac sucked after that. Should've let T-Mac play as point forward and let Willie Green be their backup SG to join the 2nd unit regularly with Mac.
Winning the first round as 12th man would have been overachieving for TMac. Let's not talk about ring.
I doubt it would have been too hard to join the Heat or Bulls or Celtics. He is generally respected by his peers. Especially the younger ones who watched him growing up (apart from Amar'e). He signed for the Vet Minimum.
you think he trained in chicago all the time during his rehab and he was the one that turned chicago down? chicago didn't want him, period. why would he sign with the pistons when he could have signed with a contender? you think he signed to play fulltime PG? no contender wanted him.
For a vet minimum he could have gotten signed. It was pretty clear he wanted to go to a team where he could play. Miami signs Eddy Curry ffs. Signing T-Mac for a vet minimum isn't really losing anything.
I do think that Chicago probably told him he would have to compete for any playing time and he might not get any. So he went to Atlanta. Just me guessing though
I am pretty sure Tom T. is well aware of his lack of work ethic. His team is built around work ethic. Just a terrible match. And I wouldn't be too sure about him being respected by his peers either.
He should stay with the Hawks. Hawks sign Steve Nash. Trade Hinrich and/or Williams for a center, so that Al Horford can slide to PF. PG: Nash / Teague SG: J. Johnson / Williams(or Hinrich) SF: Smith / McGrady PF: Horford / I. Johnson C: Nene / Collins They just need a playmaker so J. Johnson and Smith aren't allowed to iso and make stupid decisions, respectively. T-Mac... you need to get out of the First Round, for my sanity.
