Haha trolling real gm, those Dawk fans were talking among themselves...

Dawk fan A: How about Lowry/Dalembeart/1st rounder for J Smith?
    Dawk fan B: Hell no!

I'd probably try a 10mil salary as he really sucks in the layoffs but is overall a good player with all-star potential. Trade K-Mart and Lee next for picks or a solid C and we're good for the future.

Joe Johnson is untraceable. Horford needs to move to PF. Its gotta be Josh Smith. If they can equal value in return they can still be a good team in the east.

I'm pretty sure Smith will be gone this season. He's already made it known the last two season he's wanted out of ATL and his contract is up after next season as well.

Here is a realistic plan to actually help the hawks and the magic (I wanted to use the trade machine, but since Redick and Anderson are free agents it wouldn't work) :

    Hawks send:
Joe Johnson and Josh Smith to the magic
    Magic send:
A sign and trade Ryan Anderson
    Expiring JJ Redick
    Hedo Turkoglu

Hawks do this because Ryan Anderson is way better than Josh Smith and they get rid of Johnson's contract
The Magic do this because their dumb and think Josh Smith and Joe Johnson is their second and third "star"

    Then:
    The magic send:
Joe Johnson and a first round pick
    The nets send:
    Gerald Wallace
    Sign and Trade Kris Humphries

Why the magic do this trade: Kris Humphries could add some depth. Gerald Wallace is solid. And most importantly they get rid of Johnson.
Why the nets do this trade: If they can't resign Deron, Brook Lopez, or Kris Humphries- You might as well roll the dice with Johnson, otherwise not even people in Brooklyn would buy tickets for that team.

I have no idea there are many Hawks supporters here. That's so random. I thought they're one of those teams where nobody really cares about unless you're from that city. Like the Pacers, Bucks, Jazz, etc.

Yeah? Josh Smith isn't very good.. People keep trying to compare him to KG as far as size goes they are very comparable- as far as being competitive they are not.
sure maybe saying Anderson is way better than Smith was misleading. I mean dollar for dollar I'd rather have Anderson - who can actually shoot compared to Smith- who only thinks he can shoot

Scola and Lowry for Josh Smith. It solves the Hawks weakness at point guard as well as giving them another low post scorer. The Rockets get their superstar. Josh Smith can play on both ends of the floor. He is also a banger on the boards.

In 2012 regular season - Josh Smith: 18.8 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 1.7 BPG

In 2012 1st Round of the Playoffs - Josh Smith: 16.8 PPG, 13.6 RPG, 1.0 BPG

I don't think there are any hawks supporters here. I think it's just a good case study and everyone here is better than Morey.

The hawks are kinda like the rockets on the mediocre treadmill, except theirs is stuck in the first or second round.

Smith is one of the best defenders in the NBA, all Ryan does is shoot and rebound sometimes. That's like saying Luke Ridnour is better than Rondo because he can shoot.

Yep, I think you must get rid of Joe Johnson and Josh Smith.

You WILL get SOME type of value in return. there are few teams that will take Joe Johnson in my opinion.

actually this is a good trade. probably one of the best, most thought out deals.

I agree that the magic would certainly entertain this deal, while the hawks would be hard pressed to move JJ to any other team.

I also am in agreement with you that Ryan Anderson is at least equal value to Josh Smith. I liked Josh Smith a lot better when he was a skinny defender than who he is trying to be which is a low post scorer. His shot is just too erratic to move him to that next level.

If howard gets JJ and Smith, I actually do think that they could win the finals with that team.

As far as the second deal is concerned, I think you went overboard. I do think that if your deal went down, it would require multiple first round picks.

    what...

You realize that the Hawks are left with complete **** after that deal? Not even **** with a good contract, **** with a bad contract.

I actually think the Magic would have to add at least 2 more #1 picks to that deal.

3 #1's and Ryan Anderson + Cap Room, for Josh Smith and JJ is a fair deal.

The point of the deal is TO BE LEFT WITH NOTHING. To start over. Because it just isn't working out with this lineup for whatever reason.

The problem is they would get contracts, the Hedo one is terrible.

How to make Atlanta a title contender? The standard answer to the question is:

    1. Tank
    2. Get a superstar franchise player

    1) Sign Nash
    2) Trade Hinrich and/or Williams for a decent center - Nene? Bogut?
    3) Re-sign McGrady
    4) Draft a SG/SF.

Atlanta doesn't really nor hasn't really ever attempted to win a title, their owner is quite content with sitting around 4th/5th in the east perpetually.

    He's basically Les on steroids.
