Who went to Strake?

Hope we're not doing this for every high school.

 

Sharpstown could make the same claim if they charged for tuition.

A baccalaureate consortium comprised of one secondary school that prepares you for life in Southwest Houston?

 

All I know is that we crushed you in 1978 and 1979.

Was Jake Voskuhl at Strake the same time you were there? If so, was he a punk?

 

Jake was the class of 96. He was the 3rd or 4th best player on the basketball team.. No he was not really a punk when I went to school with him.

 

What happened to the other players who were better than him? Did they all play D1 basketball?

 

The small forward went to UCONN with Jake but surprisingly was beaten out for minutes by a guy named Richard Hamilton. I believe he transferred to Vandy.

The point guard I believe had off the court issues.

The starting power forward played at Yale.

A sophomore on that team ended up playing at Wake Forrest and was a borderline NBA player.

Sophmore -> can`t remember.

class of `97.

 

Pius '95 here. And LeBlanc was the cream of the crop back then. I remember playing in the holiday tournaments with Calvin Sr. running up and down the sidelines. We had my boy Marvin Hill, a small mention of him in the following player of the year article, who led us to a State Title:

Cracks me up that 2 private schools are in the middle of Sharpstown hoodville. St. Thomas doesn't have to worry about their area going south.

Broderick Hicks...I went to elementary school with him and our assigned seats were next to each other. He would take out his penis when the teacher wasnt looking. True story.
