Are The Rockets Really Not Going To Change Their Awful Uni's This Offseason?

If clutchfans majority vote had its way, every team would be the same color as the Spurs, with this being our only logo:

 

Keep the logo, fine... But change the uniforms please.

 

ALL of those uniforms are better than the Rockets.


The Cleveland Cavs Jersey basically is the look and colors THE ROCKETS NEVER GOT. (Mustard yellow and red, not the dark maroon/burgundy)



The Rockets alternate is a step in the right direction.

 

I hate our uniforms. Our white people look ridiculous.

 

I will agree with everyone saying that the cut is terrible. I bought a Landry a few years ago and wore it maybe 3 times.

I used to like these jerseys and at some point I probably had this same opinion about them. After about 5 years of seeing these jerseys the stripes/cones/whateverthosethingsare on the side, the cut, the tiny numbers on the front, and the font started to really annoy me and it just began to look worse to me as pretty much every team except maybe a few got new and better looking jerseys.

Once the Wizards got new jerseys, the Rockets had fallen to last in my jersey rankings. I really believe if you took a poll of the players and/or fans of other NBA teams that they would rank the Rockets jerseys in the bottom 10 for sure.

Honestly, I could live with the same logo and font but a completely new and redesigned jersey needs to be created for the Rockets. Something like the ones someone here made on some nice program that looked really good with the same logo and font. These current ones have began to look hideous to me

 

Keep the shoulder areas, just trade Patterson for a player with broader shoulders.

There's no need to get snarky with me. I didn't remember about the costume designer association. It sounds familiar now that you mention it, though. So if the comparison is that the costume designer for a high production value motion picture designed our uniforms, so what? Judge the work by the work, not by the worker.

And me not being able to see the connection between chinese food boxes and candy canes is not my burden. People making the claim that there is some comparison own that job. If I can't see the comparison, it's because no one's made a strong argument for it that I've seen.

I and a few others disagree that our uniforms don't "look like NBA quality gear"? It sure seems like in this thread designed to complain about how crappy the unis are that there are quite a bit more people that like the uniforms than the few that have spoken out against them.

Saying that people don't buy our jerseys because they must not like them is a fallacy. There are plenty of reasons why a person wouldn't buy a Rockets jersey. It doesn't have to be because they think "they're garbage".

It sounds like an attempt on your part to make your small but vocal contingency sound bigger than it is.

I'm sorry you don't like the uniforms. But there's nothing I can say to make you change your mind as you've already made it up. Hopefully you can find some peace with them since they'll likely be around for a few more years.

Well it doesn't look like it just the fans want new uni's or just a new cut. I tweeted Patrick Paterson about the uni's and you can check out the conversation below. Really thought with the 10 year anniversary of the Toyota Center next year we would get new uni's.

Only b****ing and whining cause these rockets don't win in these jerseys. As soon as they win 55 games and get to the conference finals and finals every year, and have elite superstars, you think these jerseys will be the greatest thing ever.


Change your jerseys = many wins, right?
