What is this Spurs Rockets people are talking about what frucken rivalry, we've been so irrelevant and never met in the playoffs in recent history
I hate the Spurs. Do people like them now because Houston sucks? The Heat aren't now nor will they ever be a rival. How can a Rockets fan root for the Spurs? Do those who root for the Spurs also root for the Mavs? If not, what's the difference? Have people forgotten the super-dirty play of Bowen, the incredible flopping of most of the Spurs, the whining of Duncan whenever a foul is called? Ugh, it's not even close for me.
San Antonio isn't Dallas ( most annoying city in Texas), they aren't owned by a loudmouthed POS, and they've never humiliated us in the playoffs as far as I know. And Terry's worse than anyone on the Spurs.
I never get the Texas rivalry thing. Who cares what city a team is in? It's the players and the coaches that I root for or against. I'll never root for the superfriends because of their arrogance and entitlement attitude, except maybe when they play the Lakers or the Clippers.
Heat. It's time Lebron, the greatest player in the game gets a ring. But I wouldn't mind Duncan getting his 5th and tying Kobe so Kobe wouldn't be so special :grin:
There is no team that I would root for the Heat over. I rooted for the Mavs last year. Do you know how hard that was for me?
you mistake discredit with dislike, bosh might be a bit of an overrated schmuck, but the other 2, people will openly admit are in the top few players in the league.
you've obviously never lived in san antonio. their fans are annoying as hell. a bunch of short mexicans yelling "spuuuuuuuuurs homez"
....and for those who want to root for the spurs/mavs over the heat...why? What did Lebron do that affect us rockets fans? only teams that should be pissed are bulls, knicks and cavs fans because they were the only team that had a shot at him. he was a "free agent"..which means he could sign with any team he want. if lebron/bosh/wade were to sign with us i bet you guys would be all over them. only people hate lebron are haters. spurs/mavs are in a division much less, in texas. thats 2 reasons to hate the spurs/mavs.
I live here too, and I don't have to tell you how damn annoying the March-June Only Sprus fan is, who can only name 3 people on the roster and have to ask you if the Spurs play tonight.... Much less I don't wanna hear Sean Elliot's damn mouth. All that off my chest, Lebron winning a ring would be way way worse.
Well, I don't hate Lebron. However, I'd prefer to see the Spurs win it over them. Why? Breaking rules of the former collective bargaining agreement to form a new trio of stardom is not something I am very fond of. People may disagree, and that is fine. I am just answering your first question.
