I'd like to obtain my center through the draft. In fact, I'd like to obtain multipule centers through this year's draft. I would like to stockpile picks: keep our #14 and #17, trade Lowry and other assets for a top pick, maybe get another mid-rounder for Kevin Martin. Use a couple of those picks on centers (say Henson and Leonard).

Agreed! Draft M. Leonard & resign M. Camby at a reasonable price to help mentor the young man!

Or something similar. The Rockets are going to have to get their rim protector through the draft.

I think this would be perfect unless we somehow got Asik for cheap. Do not want idiot McGee who shoots below 50% from the line.

Melo is a PROJECT CENTER, sure he can blocks shots and his highlight videos look great but is very limited on offense I have a feeling this guy is gona be Hasheem Thabeet 2.0, I would not trade anybody significant from our roster to draft this guy.

I think we really need a reliable rebounding and shot blocking starting Center...not a too young or old guy...Camby is good to be back-up...my suggestion is Okafor...saw Asik start for the Bulls, he's awful to overpay him.

We ain't getting McGee. Denver didn't acquire him just to lose him.

Unless some team actually pays him what he thinks he's worth, which won't happen.

Asik at about $6 million is about right. Our quest for whiteness would be almost complete.

Athleticism, height, shot blocking and effective scoring are very important in acquiring a center. However, let's not discount intelligence / basketball IQ. I like McGee on the first three factors, but not for the last two. Meyers Leonard seems to have all the five attributes -- not 10s in all categories but high in each. McGee has 9s or 10s in three categories and 3s and 4s in the others.

i dont like fab and believe he will bust unless he lands with miami and is made to look good by supreme surrounding talent...

i liked mcgee a while back but thought he was a headache... but after watching him with denver it seems hes either starting or trying to mature... hes completely Manning up in the playoffs vs the lakers this year... its still not a complete big but hes got potential to be special if he matures...

BESIDES all his stupid things and highlight dunks and blocks gets us more airtime on espn and makes our market and team more widely known...

i wish for once he would.... sign mcgee to 13mill and either trade or amnest k.mart.... no lost cap space... gain a young athletic high ceiling big... lose an old uninterested jump shooter...

Let's put it this way: if he's obtainable, I don't want him. Or we'll be heading to another #14 pick next year...

I liked Asik more than Deandre Jordan last year and I like him more than Hibbert and McGee this year.

Sorry I couldnt find any youtube highlight tapes of him rotating to help protect the rim and jump straight up and down with his arms straight up to alter the shot without fouling...
