You would be surprised at the things you could do if you were allowed to play your natural position.

I'm sure Morey/McHale will allow the next Jordan Hill to do so when the Rockets get a 17/10 PF/C and a 19/12 C.

I think you are both right...he gets to play PF, and he gets the benefit of playing with guys who take all the attention away from him.

I didn't have a problem with the trade. I had a problem with not picking up his option. 3 million isn't a lot for good rebounder even though he is inconsistent sometimes. He was the best rebounder on the team outside camby. Almost 12 rebound per 36 minutes.

I never said scola wasn't a solid player, but the rockets had basically 2 guys who needed minutes at that spot. It really has nothing to do with tanking. If scola wasn't on the squad, the rockets would've gotten the same production out of hill and patterson vs patterson and scola. They would've won/loss record would probably be the same. Just as the nuggetts traded nene for mcgee and nothing changed record wise. It would be a tank job as much as player evaluation. As someone said early, his option of 3m wasn't bad for a young big who can blk shots and rebound

The rewriting of history that Jordan Hill didn't get a chance or it's because he's playing out of position is gigantically stupid. Utterly predictable, but gigantically stupid nonetheless.

The guy is what he is, a decent athlete but a very erratic player - decent in spots as a role player, would have been a fine 4th fiddle to Yao Ming-Luis Scola-Chuck Hayes triumvirate, but not really very useful on his own, and certainly not very useful to a role-player laden doughnut team like the Rockets, because he is prone to nights like this, when he is absolutely useless.

Getting a first round draft pick for hiim was a coup.

He's still inconsistent, with more effort.

Why don't you specifically identify the tasks he was asked to perform last night then that he was incapable of performing due to circumstances beyond his control.

    Thanks in advance.

It was a serious question, considering it seems some folks think he was underperforming in Houston because he was playing out of position.

He was on McGhee and playing center, and obviously not doing too well.

I guess MeGee caused him to miss those 3 point blank layups too?

Uh, Bynum played 39 minutes...Hill played 20. So Hill played more minutes at PF (11) with Bynum than without him (9).

Quit rewriting history people. He's just inconsistent.

Isn't this whole thread (the opening post) a reminder that Jordan Hill has a short honeymoon period where he plays with energy then he falls back to playing lackadaisical ball.

The kid just won't play with energy all the time. He's certainly not close to Faried in this regard.
