How good can he be? He seems to lack alot of consistancy. One game he is Shaq the next he is Two Sammiches Do you think he figures it out? He is very young. Rocket River
I'd put him as the second best center in the NBA after Howard right now. (I don't consider Duncan a C).
Great footwork for a big man. Very talented offensive player especially for his size. However, he is injury-prone and isn't nearly as imposing on defense given his size (inconsistent). Talented big men are few and far between and he is definitely amongst the top centers in the league. I don't think he'll ever be as dominating as Shaq or as talented on both ends as Olajuwon, but he belongs in the next category of talented centers with the Rik Smits, Arvydas Sabonis's of the league. He has a chance at the HoF, if he stays the course.
He is a headcase, but he's got a world of talents and if Dwight doesn't return 100% from his back injury Bynum is going to be the best center in the NBA next year. The Lakers are not going anywhere until they realize it's Bynum's team now.
offensively, bynum is light years ahead of dwight. and he's getting there defensively (10 blocks in game 1 against denver)
He's already one of the best centers in the league at 24 but is inconsistent and immature. Hopefully he can put it all together. I see him surpassing Dwight in a year or 2 if he can get it together.
Yeah, that's why the Magic have been solid offensively with everything revolving around Dwight and Dwight averages 20PPG with great efficiency. That's really LIGHT YEARS. And defensively, it's not even close.
Better and more physically imposing as Smits, nowhere as skilled as Sabonis. He can match OLDER Sabonis production wise, but he has nothing Sabonis.
Rik Smits, (NBA) Arvydas Sabonis-caliber players. I do know what you mean though. Arvydas prior to his knee issues back when he was playing in Russia was a beast. Extremely skilled and an athletic specimen. It's unfortunate the NBA didn't get Arvydas in his prime.
I don't think anyone annoys me as much as Bynum is light years ahead of Dwight offensively. In terms of refinement - maybe In terms of actual scoring and effectiveness which matters? - Hell no
That team is nowhere close to being his. He still isn't ready to get 18-20 shots a game yet. He has moments but he still is very inconsistent and not that great of a passer when the double comes.
