The uppity negro took credit for killing Bin Laden

I've never called Obama a negro. pgabriel did.

Obama's ancestors were slave owners, not slaves.

 

Thousands of innocent black men are in jail for murders they didn't commit. Let's discuss the merit of their claims, shall we?

 

By pointing out that Obama's ancestors were slave owners goes right to the heart of pgabriel's point. It is irrelevant if his ancestor's were slave owners since the term Negro simply refers to the color of ones' skin.

The United Negro College Fund (which Obama recently contributed large sums of money to) would take issue that the term is related to slavery. MLK constantly refered to himself as a negro.

In fact, the term was used as a polite reference like people today would say African American. However the term is now considered old fashioned and rarely used similiar to Oriental or how Hispanic will be in a few years (in favor of Latino).

You claimed Obama is not worthy of the term "negro" ...which is your attempt to marginalize Obama in the same why you say he is "half white" --which is why you are bringing up that his ancestors were slave owners. It's the same sentiment of why you guys artificially use Obama's middle name. It makes you look petty and demonstrates that you are not truely interested in dicussing actual issues if you must resort to such petty tactics in an attempt to demean and marginalize Obama (and your listeners).
