I think it would be in the best interest of both the Knicks and Lin that Lin sits out Game 5. The Knicks are not gonna beat the Heat and if Lin gets re-injured, the Knicks are effed going into next year.
Baron Davis seems to be at that stage in his career where his body just can't take it any more. Good luck coming back.
This only great Baron Davis mix on the net Forgot how beastly this guy was http://<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/N_7eEMk6GdI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
if you notice, it's the really explosive guys like Rose,Davis and shumpert.....they jump and plant real hard....needless to say stockton barely missed any games in his career and never planted hard enough or quick enough to tear an acl, time to bring back the slow unathletic white guys like him and hornacek
The knicks trio of similar injuries could be something to look at... Are trainers over taping their ankles? Is something wrong with their workout program? Probably just coincidence, but it makes you wonder..
Why couldnt these injuries happen to the Knicks earlier in the season, we might have a higher draft pick SMH
too bad such a great player, miss those Golden State days, he is absolutely a beast, and the series with the Mavs, oh my, oh my..............
There might be truth about the Court Grip thing. You have to slide to decrease the force in your knee and feet, I think that Court Grip ish enforces you to slide way less, therefore leading to unnatural stops and your ACL/MCL, ankles being stressed more. Would really like to see a list of NBA players using this and some research.
I had this same injury but with two cracks in my kneecap, and it was my third surgery on the same knee. I still play soccer/basketball. Granted, I don't play proffessionally, but at the same time I didn't get the world-class medical care that Baron would get. Would like to see the guy revocer fully and get into shape, and then retire on his own legs.
I wish the Knicks didn't have a glut of PGs now for when they return next season: Lin/Douglas, and maybe Bibby if re-signed.
It will be interesting to see how much they have to spend to keep Lin at this point. 21-8 (5 TOs) in January 15-6 (4 TOs) in February Gone with the knee injury No draft pick and over the cap Amare with a disturbing drop off and back/knee issues Baron Davis is toast Committing their entire MLE to Lin all of a sudden becomes a big decision. I think he'll still be good...but what happens if he struggles with the knee going forward? What if the league was starting to figure him out (12-5 with 36% shooting in losses)? It'll be interesting to see where they go from here.
