Since, in bigtexxx's world, nothing matters except the latest result, UH is better than Rice in baseball right now. It doesn't matter that UH lost 16 in a row to the Owls or that Rice has the higher ranking or that Rice will probably win the next 2. All that currently matters is that UH beat Rice 11-6 - brah.
I was at the game. good to see all those lame rice fans leave early.... i wonder where bigtexxx is right now? probably in his fettle position at home still.
As much as I enjoy texxx's (sports-related) antics from time to time, he really has ruined any hope of actual discussion of Rice sports, which is a shame considering how rarely that opportunity presents itself on Clutchfans.
If you think losing a second coach in five years, choking a non-BCS conference championship and having to promote a first-year position staffer is going to level the playing field after 40 years, then I'd like to offer you a scholarship to our med school.
I enjoy seeing Rice being so successful at baseball. It is clear that over the course of the season, they are the better team, but it is also nice that UH can win once every three years or so.
Today's game showed that while pitching depth at UH is improved over last year, they are still woefully thin when compared to others. They got a fantastic start from Jordan Lewis and when they really had to have key outs, they turned it over to Chase Wellbrock, who didn't seem to fool a single Rice hitter in his outing.
No shame in losing to Texas State, especially in San Marcos. They're a really good team, top 25 at one point this year.
Agreed. Texas State not only has a good team this year, but they have it going so well that they are at the point now where they just reload and put out really good teams on an annual basis. But with that being said, their season has not at all gone like I figured it would when they were playing so well early on. I figured they would run through the Southland and that hasn't been the case. Sam Houston has basically done what I thought Texas State would in conference play, as they have a multiple-game lead on the next-best team, SELa. The Bobcats, meanwhile, sit at 14-11 in conference, fighting with UT-Arlington for third in the league.
lol @ coogfan who rushes to throw up a post when UH beat Rice on Friday. Then Rice came back and pimp slapped them in the next two games. Rice is now 18-1 vs. UH in the last 19 games. Complete and total domination. (similar to how I dominate bobrek's thoughts and emotions....)
Kind of like the Rice fan who rushes to throw up a post when Rice beats UH in football - right? Also, in my original post, I acknowledged that Rice would probably win the next two games, unlike the Rice poster who never gives credit to UH. I must dominate your emotions as well - correct? After all, you did specifically mention my name in your post.
#4 in RPI I want to know what deal with the devil you Baptists have struck Hopefully in the near future we don't hear about: cats being skinned, basketball players getting shot, coaches blaming shootings on drug deals (?!?), men's basketball players breaking their girlfriends' jaws (and then covering it up!), or female players punching other female opponents....
