At least they wont b**** and whine every time someone talls about something they don't want to talk about. So ****ing myself with the old and new gods would be preferable to reading your dribble.

Did you mean you mean "drivel".

Like it or not I'm hot cheese around here. I'm hot **** in a champagne glass while you are not unlike warm piss in a Dixie cup.

Now quit whining about people trying to keep the thread about a tv show or I will make you pay the iron price.

I loved the scene at Kings Landing. It was one of my my favorite scenes in the HBO series and books. I think Theon's difficulty in Winterfell has as much to do with his own internal issues caused from his betrayel to Rob and the Starks, these are people he has known and treated him as family for the last 10 years. As he told Bran, he had to make a choice between following Rob or Baylon and he chose his father. Theon is a complete douchebag but the decission has to be ****ing with his head.

In the book Shea becomes Lollis hand made when Tyrion brings her to the Keep. Since Shea becomes Sansa's handmade as soon as they get to Kings Landing in the series there really was no need for Lollis in the series. I know she has an important marriage at the end of SoS but I'm guessing any noble's daughter could take her place in that marriage.

I liked the scene with Osha,
I'm wondering if they are going to write her into SoS, it looks more and more that she might take the place of the Reeds but I keep thinking they will turn up at some point. There was verification last night that Ramsey Snow will be in the series when Roose Bolton told Rob he would send him to retake Winterfell.
she looks much better under her robes than I thought she would. I thought Denary's getting her Dragon's stolen from her was odd but I don't have a problem with it.

The change that really has me scratching my head is the scene between Jon and Ygritte. It does not seem to add anything to the story except giving Ygritte a chance to tease Jon a bit while they are laying next to each other.
I definitely think it would have been a much more effective scene to follow the book here. Jon probably does not spend more than 30 minutes with Ygritte before letting her go. She tells him a story about the before he decides he can't kill her and he lets her go. It was a very cool scene in the book and much more streamlined than the scene from last night. To me this has been the only about the 3rd change from the book that has had me shaking my head. The other two were Theon's meeting with Asha (Yara) which was an epic scene in the book but very much meh in the HBO version and the instability in the story line at Storm's End. I'm still holding out hope for the Reeds to show up.

Can you two cut it out?

I would also ask that the book discussions go in a separate thread, except I enjoy the non-spoiler commentary from those who've read the books in this thread. They also help clear up doubts I have with the story. Wouldn't want to lose that.

Damn I'm getting far too into this series but it's too good. The Arya-Littlefinger scene was great, and I'd bet he recognized her but decided to keep the information to try and get on the Stark's side, should the need ever arise. And Joffrey getting his due deserts, with cow ***** no less

    As I listened to the books . . .
Little Finger became one of the more interesting characters
IMO, he is mishandled in this season.

He is the Master of Coin! [I think this is how Tywinn rose to power
i.e. the Lannisters are the uberrich of their country]

He has risen far from being so Low-Born.

He and Varys have been underused so far IMO

    Rocket River
I think they got the perfect actor too. ..

Should have cast the chick who plays Osha as Asha and changed Osha's name to Yara and left Asha's name as Asha so Yara would be Osha.

Vary's absence has been odd. As much as they have written in extra scenes to keep other charecters such as Littlefinger involved I'm surprised there has been so little of Vary's this season.

I guess Varys was the odd man out, trying to get such a big book into, essentially, 9+ hours (let's face it, they shave a lot of screen time with the opening credits and usually finish well before the hour is up).

But he has a lot going on in SoS so maybe they'll pick up on him again there?

I like the Arya / Tywin Lannister scenes, and this season is really starting to kick it up a notch. Me likes.

They are creating an interesting dynamic between Arya and Tywin. Arya knows that the Lannisters are fighting the Starks and Tywin is actively trying to come up with a way to defeat and ultimately kill her brother, but by the same token Tywin has been pretty much the only guy there that is even civil to her (which isn't saying a LOT, since the guy is still pretty cold and distant). I think this is their way of trying to explain why she isn't naming Tywin as one of her three to J'aqen. Despite the situation, I think she actually likes Lord Tywin.

^^ I agree, when the badass assassin guy said he would take three lives, no matter who they were, i thought Arya would immediately say Lord Tywin. I think she sees that even he doesn't wish for war, and so does have some sympathy for him, but obviously she's loyal to Robb. What did that letter say btw?

She does seem to empathize with him.

She also seems shrewd enough to know her life span is jack / squat if something happens to him now, not to mention she could get some good intel.

Forgot to mention the assassin. Awesome addition to the story.

    "Kill him! Now!"

    (next scene) THUD! "Guards!"

Great episode, I loved seeing Joffrey getting slapped by Tyrion (again). Theon is a mega douche now and the scene where Jon was getting teased was pretty funny.

As far as the things left out
from sos and ffc, the girl getting raped marries bronn and he names the child tryion once tyrion had disappeared, cersei tries to convince the father of the raped girl to kill bronn and ends up getting killed himself, the lady is then turned over to qyborn

also from jon's arc, no dragonglass? it will be interesting to see how they unite jon wiht the wildlings,

also no riverrun and no blackfish, its starting to worry me

overall i thought it was a great episode, the danaerys story took me by complete surprise, and yes osha taking one for house stark was nice, littlefinger at harrenhal was definitely suspenseful
