The Grizzlies just needed some Durant luck according to their super fan. You know what they need? To feed the post every single time instead of trying to get their phony star (Rudy Gay) touches.
I'm also worried for OJ Mayo. His confidence is definitely going to take a hit after he played Chris Paul so hard on defense and still got his ass taken like he was in prison
CP3 has grown up a lot the last 3 years. In 2009, Dahntay Jones played him very physical too and he quit. They lost game 4 by 58 points because the refs wouldn't acknowledge his whining, complaining and flopping. CP3 still flops a lot but when he understands the refs won't bail him out, he just raises his game to another level. I still think the Grizzlies have a good chance to win Monday and take back control of the series.
Man what a game that was. Best series by far in the first round. Grizz can take this team, but the Clips have Paul.
CP3 is the one of the two best closers in the game (the other one is Kobe). After memphis blew the first game and fell short for their comeback tonight I think they may have missed their opportunities to win the series. Still they just need to win one game in L.A. to regain the advantage. This series may go 7.
Zach Randolph doesn't scare me anymore. Blake is hanging in there with him (or Reggie Evans). He doesn't look like he's 100% back from the knee injury.
Admittedly, I found this season to be so hard to watch as a Rockets fan that I just stopped somewhere around January, so I haven't watched anybody else this season either. But it's kind of blowing my mind to see this kind of vitriol aimed at the Clippers who are kind of the biggest underdog team ever.
Really? I have to explain that? They are, hands down, the worst run franchise in the history of sports. For them to even have a squad that is capable of making the playoffs is a miracle.
They had so much hype coming into this season. They have been hyped by the national media all season. They have CP3 and Blake who are constantly on TV and were selected by ESPN as 2 of the 10 best players in the NBA before this season. If they made a run like the Grizzlies last year, they would be everyone's darlings. But instead they have been overhyped like crazy by the media. If they had made a playoff run last year, that would be one thing. This year they aren't underdogs at all.
The grizzlies look like they don't know what they want to run at the end of games. The last 3 plays before Rudy went off was not confident plays. Last year the grizzlies were synergized by dumping the ball into Zach and working from there. This year the grizzlies don't seem to have that type of move: they didn't allow rudy to touch the ball until they were 4 points down and that's a problem. So, the grizzlies are in disarray right now, and I think that the clippers have their number. Even with the game the grizzlies won, oj came down making shots (read: out of character plays) to seal the game. You've got to have something to play off of, a bread and butter move with your best player and we don't have that.
