    I still don't get how they could just forget he was there. Were they holding him in a sound insulated cell so they couldn't here him yelling?

    Thats the thing about jail. In normal world, you respond to someone crying/begging for help. In jail, you are nothing. People yelling/screaming from their cell is nothing out of the ordinary and not responded to.

    i didnt even know the human body could go that many days without food or water. im guessing he ate a big meal that day, but still amazing.

    i wonder how many people would try this for 2.5 million dollars.

    I'm sure the Republicans will want to fight this tooth and nail; after all, law enforcement should have absolute authority, and if we manage to beat the claim of this liberal elite college student, we'll make a serious dent in the wasteful spending of the govt, right?

    I'd do it.

    The biggest risk is kidney problem (other than mental problems). Some miners trapped underground went without food/water much longer than him; granted this guy had his hand handcuffed all the time but that shouldn't be a huge difference.
