He will be that good. He just needs development. Too many chuckers in Philly.

I think Turner has talent, but to be honest with you his improvement has been marginal from his rookie season to his sophomore season and the numbers back it up. When Brandon Roy came into the league, he was already putting up much better numbers and impacting the way the Blazers played each game. From Turner, I see a serviceable role player at best.

Off topic, but I think it will make a sense for us to go after Denver's Brewer. Him and Parson will interchange a 2/3 position with Brewer guarding faster guards. I may be in minority here, I don't like CLee.

IMHO, Evan Turner could solve a major need for the Rockets. McHale spoke about the need to have more ball handlers / decision makers. He spoke about teams loading up on Gogi and being a one headed team at the end of the season. Evan's problem in Philly could be a benefit in Houston. Philly talks about having too many guys who need the ball in their hands such as Lou, Iggy, Evan, and Jrue. Philly says they need a guy who can play off the ball to compliment, i.e. Kevin Martin.

We need another guy who can create with the ball. Sounds like a match made in heaven. When you take into consideration that McHale liked to play Gogi and Kyle together, more ball handling, more decision making, again it seems like a perfect match to have someone like Evan Turner to play along side Gogi. He is 2/3 who can defend his position and create off the dribble. I would be stoked if we got Turner.

I think we have a better chance to get Iggy than Turner, which is fine with me. However I wouldn't give up 2 1st round draft picks for him.

Turner is a playmaker. I think Collins, and his future coaches need to recognize that. He's not an off-the-ball player. He needs the ball to be effective, but he's not "great" enough to be a lead guy.

It's really hard to gauge his future as to where he stands on a potentially contending team.

They need to get rid of Iggy and build around Jrue and ET.

    Chuckers?

    Meeks - 7 shots/game
    Holiday - 12 shots/game
    Iguodala - 10 shots/game
    Williams - 12 shots/game

    Turner - 9 shots/game

He's right there with them. Turner has not developed into an all-star but it is not due to being surrounded by "chuckers". He's been given the opportunity to shine several times, but he has failed to do so consistently. Your proposed trade would be a waste of Murray's assets.

Tony Wroten is the most similar player that comes to my mind, and we can easily draft him. Don't waste assets on Turner.

Both have ill handles, good size and lack a reliable jumpshot.

As someone who has watched Evan Turner a lot, I would not spend a lotta assets to get him.

He simply sucks at putting the ball in the basket. He can do everything else. He can push the tempo, he has beautiful handles, can get rebounds but then he misses the shot. He cannot finish and has a terrible jump shot.

He is good defensively. Most of his rebounds are defensive which helps him push the tempo. But he really needs to pound the ball to be remotely effective.

This team is better without Lowry and Martin. Dragic becomes your starter with Turner as the two guard.

    Dragic
    Turner
    Parsons
    Scola
    Camby

That is a playoff team, and there is still an opportunity that we sign a star player in the offseason. Automatically we are a much better defensive team.

    Dragic. Dragic.
    Deron Will. Turner
    Turner Parsons
    Scola. Scola
    Camby. Howard

I think any of those teams have an opportunity to compete in the West assuming Turner develops. He has an opportunity to be the next Brandon Roy who was a borderline superstar.
