Yes Yes.....poor Jacoby. <iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/768h3Tz4Qik" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> .......It's a day to celebrate!
Well, they're both guys who came in with what was supposedly a lot of potential but who ended up being mediocre performers (to use Innes's favorite word) -- so I see a lot of parallels there. I do feel bad about the Jacoby Jones situation (that it finally had to come to this), but you can only say, "Maybe this'll be the year," so many times before you realize it's never going to be the year. Oh, and congratulations on that lotto ticket.
Here are the good receivers that have signed: Reggie Wayne 3 yrs/17.5 million. Vincent Jackson 5 yrs/55 million. Robert Meachem 4 yrs/25.9 million. Pierre Garcon 5 yrs/42.5 million. Marques Colston 5 yrs/40 million. Laurent Robinson 5 yrs/32 million. Mario Manningham 2 yrs/7.5 million. Brandon Lloyd (who took a cut to play in NE) 3 yrs/12 million. AGHHHHH!!!! If only Jacoby's 2.5 million dollar saving would have come earlier so that we could have combined it with the millions we had to spend on free agents!!
