I'm in Florida atm and I'm heading to Miami this week. Anyone know some good bars for socializing? Nothing with blaring music plz, I'm getting too old... Also any suggestions for places to checkout in general would be nice, much appreciaited!
If you are with a lady friend, purchase a pair of sun shades and wear them the entire time that you are there. Beause your eye will definetly wonder...
lol I'm visiting family in Fort Lauderdale but I'm ditching them for Miami for a few days. Riding solo with no wingman.
Liv at the Fountainbleu is a great place. Just stay on Collins or Oceans drive. A lot of places to drink / day time activities. They have a place next to the Heat stadium called "Off The Hookah" - pretty cool spot.
For restaurants, I recommend: -Playa Cafe in South Beach. It's a super hole in the wall place with great Cuban sandwiches. You might need to practice your Spanish, but the food is delicious, authentic, and cheap. -Indomania on Miami Beach. Delicious Indonesian food (which I had never had before). You need to make reservations because it's always packed. We ordered the "Rijstaffels," which consisted of a lot of small plates we shared. No one talked during the meal because the food was so good. -Milani Gelatera- Great gelato in South Beach. As far as quiet bars, can't help you there. We went to loud-ass clubs like LIV.
I took the tri-rail yesterday to Miami and you are correct. The coolest people I met were not even from Miami, tourist from other states and countries. I was not impressed with Miami's skyline either, the buildings looked uninsipired. You can the same about Houston's skyline too though. With that said the city and people are beautiful, cool place to get drunk.
