Wow Bill Worrell saying "Stevie" brings a tear to my eye. Wow I miss that guy damn what a decade that was. Time to find our next star and move on.
Obviously Hakeem is hands the best Rocket to have ever played(Moses Malone very close), and will remain for some time. Ralph, while he didn't live up to expectations of many to become the next Wilt Chamberlain, did come up with that miraculous last second shot that beat the Lakers. in the 1986 WCF playoffs. Even if he wasn't as durable as Yao Ming, it is my opinion that Ralph was the better player. He was and is to me, 'the Laker killer'. Digging down deep...guess who said that? Robert Reid did. He was referring to the possibility of returning to the finals after he was the only remaining member of the 1981 team that lost to Boston. At the time he said that, the Rockets were two games away from finishing off the Lakers. Little did they know that it would go down to the last second in Game5. The Rockets were very fortunate to have Robert Reid, Lewis Lloyd, Mitchell Wiggins, and Rodney McCray in that line-up. Reid and McCray would play point forwards and pretty much did an outstanding job. It's sad that Lloyd and Wiggins were suspended by the league for drug abuse. Watching games 2,3,4, and 5 of that 1986 WCF series with the Lakers really brought back good memories. Those were the best years to be a Rockets fans. Hakeem and Ralph were definitely the best one two punch in the NBA. But it didn't hurt to have Robert Reid, Lewis Lloyd, Mitchell Wiggins and Rodney McCray to support them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALZF6ZwwaFk&feature=related
Chin up, AB. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/_ReosC4hS5k" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
It was a great game by Francis, but sadly a throwback to his "glory days," and not a sign of things to come. There just wasn't the ability (or self-descipline) left in the guy to keep it up. That game had me pumped up for a future with Steve that simply wasn't there.
prob already posted a dozen times but it's worth seeing again. Too bad a crooked NBA took our chances away that year. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/dtvb-fVlYUg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Totally remember this one. I even remember the headline you gave it. "Save A Horse, Ride A Mav." I was a junior in high school and I wanted a t-shirt with that picture and slogan, and it made me have day dreams wishing that I was the creator of this terrific website.
This one really is just frustrating for me. Cause I really thought that Stevie was BACK after this, but this was really the only game he showed up for during the season.
I was searching for a different post and inadvertently found a similar one in this thread instead. Ended up cycling through the pages again... thought it was worth a bump to possibly cheer up some depressed fans out there (it did me).
I liked it when there was no World Peace <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/hb9CWnqaASQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
