Keenum going to the Texans as you have probably heard by now Patrick Edwards signed with the Lions Mike Hayes with the Chargers I forgot where the UH SID told me where Brown and McGraw went to but a team picked them up as well. Congratulations to them all.
Well he had a small shot to begin with and is recovering from knee surgery. Maybe after a year of rehabbing and getting back into shape, he could wind up on a roster for the 2013 season.
Honestly, I feel like all of these guys deserved to be drafted and have skills that will apply to the NFL. I hope they all get a fair shot and make a team.
I'm shocked as hell Saenz got signed. That guy, in stretches, would suck ginormous balls. Sammy Brown is a guy who may end up making some noise, as St. Louis is not exactly overflowing with talent at OLB.
I didn't know Nick was that fast. Ran a 4.45 at his pro day. Damn sure didn't look that fast during games. He got toasted every Saturday
These were sophomore highlights... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/oUpbJnctVGI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> (all of this info compliments of Coogfans)
I picked up a college football magazine with a preview of every conference and team in the NCAA. It had UH finishing 5th in CUSA. The order goes as follows: 1. UCF 2. SMU 3. Marshall (????) 4. Tulsa 5. Houston They handed out preseason awards and had Charles Sims winning Offensive Player of the Year. They also listed Jacolby Ashworth as best blocker and Piland as strongest arm in the conference. I see no way Marshall finishes that high. SMU will have a good team with Gilbert as the new QB but Houston will finish above Tulsa and UCF. The magazine stated our defense will be horrible because of the switch back to the 43 and the offense won't be as good as last year. They listed our strengths to be the kicking game. Hogan and Leone are great, but I see some greater strengths than that. Lastly, Rice was picked to finish 5th District 17-5A.
